I am not the best person to give advice on the topic. I am totally anti-in-laws, lol. No but seriously, for me, it was very natural taking advice and learning from my mom vs accepting what my MIL said on how to handle the baby given the age difference (my MIL was much older and way more traditional in her ways than I could…

Well, that's what this group is all about, supporting each other! You are not selfish. We have put so much effort in losing weight and it didn't come about easily so seeing the weight build up again definitely makes one feels bad. It has nothing to do with how much you love your little one or what you are ready to do for…

Oh I totally hate the back meat part! I can take thighs and hips but putting on weight in my back makes it feel really ugly!

You sure aren't alone. My whole exercise routine consists of walking, at around 4 mph, for one hour, at least five times a week. Yet, the very first area that gained the weight and changed size was my thighs. Actually it was the first time that my husband commented on my body changing was that my thighs are expanding. I…

I started contracting, had the bloody show and lost my mucus plug with my first 4 days before my due date. It was new year's eve and my husband was very excited to have our first born on 1/1/11. I went in after timing my contractions, they checked me and I was 2 cm dilated. The contractions were not serious so they sent me…

Congratulation on your pregnancy and welcome to the group. You certainly should not eat for two. I did that in my first pregnancy and I ended up gaining an unnecessary 55 lbs. Tracking and staying active has helped me so far this time around. Good luck to you too.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I am 33 weeks (will be 33 weeks tomorrow) pregnant with my second child. I have a 3 yr 4 mo son and I am due on July 10th. I have faced the crazy bloating and it didn't go away until about 14 weeks.

Congrats on your pregnancy and welcome to the group. I have gained 55 lbs in my first pregnancy. Like you, I at everything I wanted. Mostly junk and fatty food. Baskin Robins' strawberry milk shake was a staple on my weekly diet (several times a week that is lol). It took me a LONG time to lose all that weight. This time…

So I am 32 w 3 d and I was planning to start drinking it now. Now that I hit the 32 weeks I am re-thinking it and planning to push it for one more week or 2. Have you ladies started already?

I guess i am lucky my doctor is so much into natural stuff. Last pregnancy I had passed my mucus plug and had the bloody show with mild contractions for 3 days and the L&D kept sending me home because I was only 2 cm dilated. I went to him and asked what i should do so he advised, since i was already dilated and had all…

I don't run but I have had this pain from walking. It lasted for a few days and I was really scared this would prevent me from continuing to exercise while pregnant. I had to give it a few days of rest and although it still comes, it's not as painful as it was the first time and if i take a short break during the work out,…

I was the complete opposite. I was on track during the first tri. Came second trimester and a hole in my stomach seemed to have opened! I am 32 w 3 d today and out of the 26 lbs I have gained so far, 20 lbs came in the second tri alone. I wouldn't worry too much about it just yet. Give it sometime and if it continues like…

I think pregnancy blues have finally taken the best of me. Unlike my first pregnancy, I have managed to stay as least emotional as I could. No sudden weeping over nothing and no break downs. Well, that was until Friday when I started to feel the world closing down on me and started breaking down in tears over.. well I am…

I have not had this sign with my first. I was constantly gaining 2-3 lbs per week till the day I delivered. Good luck to you.

I am in. My goal for this week is 240 minutes.

As excited as i am to be done and finally meet my baby, having 9 weeks left has started to freak me out lol. I have lots and lots of things to do from clothes shopping to getting the crib to re-arranging the babies room, ugh i am about to cry. Thankfully obsessing about the weight has subsided :) i am tired all the time…

If I can afford to break it up, I do. But given the fact that I am outside the house most of the day, I squeeze that one hour of walking between laundry and preparing the next day's lunch or some other chore I do around the house.

Thank you for this! It's a very enlightening story. I have gained 55 lbs in my first pregnancy, it was crazy and needed a long time and a lot of effort to come off. This time around, I am trying to do it the right way. I hope I can keep it up :)
