I still have 3 pounds to go on my original 60 pound goal. It will have been 23 weeks when I lose the last 3 (unless something crazy happens in the next few weeks).

I agree with that concept. Sure weight loss is just calories in minus calories burned, but different foods have different effects on your body and metabolism.
-
There are a number of possible explanations, but my first suspicion would be that you're over-estimating your number of calories burned.

^ this. My idea of "indulging" or "cheating" is eating @ my maintenance calories. I can handle not moving forward but can't handle going backwards.

I put Greek yogurt in smoothies sometimes. Don't really notice it when it's all blended in

The Nike+ Running app does not use the Nike+ shoe sensor, it uses GPS on your phone. The Nike+ iPod app uses the shoe sensor (app is built into iPhone, just go to Settings...Nike+ iPhone and turn it on).

Langley Falls, VA banned trans fat - but then they just smuggled it in from Chimdale.

I started exercising (mostly cardio, some weight training) and eat more calories (usually a net of 1400-1450 calories).

I think that's what they're supposed to do...

Feel free to add me, you sound a lot like me just a few short months ago

Not sure how smart it is, but it can be done. When I first started my weight loss, I lost 20 pounds in 6 weeks with no exercise. It seemed to work for me but I'm not sure I'd recommend it due to potential problems.

Feel free to add me as a friend, sounds not unlike my current life situation

Looks to me like you're off to a good start. I wouldn't worry too much about eating the same things every day - I've been doing that for months (with few small variations) without ill effects. As others have said, protein level is good and timing really doesn't matter much.

You have to make your diary public first

A good pair of running shoes makes a huge difference. I had the same problem when I started (I was wearing an old pair of trail shoes), then I got some real running shoes with proper arch supports (fitted at a running store). Total night and day difference.

Without knowing more about you or your goals, it's hard to give you an answer here. If it was me, I would go with lasagna (I love lasagna) and just not go crazy and eat the whole pan. I would calculate the nutritional content of the lasagna so I can log it, and work it into my daily intake log - probably eat less during…

Not necessarily advice, but here's what I've done... I'm a 34 year old male, 6'0" with a desk job and started my weight loss at 225 pounds. I originally started with diet alone at about 1000-1200 calories, did that for about 3 months and lost 40 pounds. Then I started moderate exercise (run a few miles, ride stationary…

Generally speaking... More Weight + Less Reps = Big Muscles Less Weight + More Reps = Toned Muscles I guess I would recommend lower weights and more reps.

I would recommend adding some exercise. I started my weight loss journey with diet alone and eventually hit a wall. I started jogging and started losing weight right away again.

My guess is you'll get a lot of varying answers to this question. I guess I'll start... I would say try it both ways and see what works best for you. Personally, I eat back some just because I'm already on pretty low cals. On non-workout days, my intake is around 1450. On workout days I burn around and extra 400-450 cals…

I'm a fan of Total - good for a lot of vitamins and minerals with low cals.

You're going to have to reevaluate your goals or make a more balanced diet.

Any liquor mixed with a 0-calorie drink is pretty low. I like Capt. & Diet Coke - only like 60 calories.

Yep, that's me :smokin: Sorry, now nobody else will post a reply for this thread.

I flipped through your diary a little bit - looks to me like you're doing fine. Some may say that you should never go under 1200 net, but this whole weight loss / nutrition thing is not an exact science. What's important is that you pay attention to how your body reacts and adjust your routine as needed. Once you find your…
