Thanks sanddollar, some of the meeting codes changed recently, but an updated list is always available at oa.org!

I have learned over the years that my trigger foods are actually more about the situation than the food. For example, my first red, yellow, green list had a long red column of finger foods. It turned out that one of my major triggers was parties. You will figure out what works for you. Just keep paying attention. xo

i find the phone meetings helpful at night when im struggling
-
Hi Rita, I do meetings in person, on the phone, and occasionally on Skype.

I am maintaining a 70 pound weight loss for a couple of years, after a relapse. I have been tracking with mfp for over 900 days in a row. I track even on the days I'm 2,000 over. My diary is open and I'm always happy to have new friends who actively use this tool and are OA members.
-
I accepted the invitation, but still don't see the group. Will you send another one?

I take anxiety meds 'as needed'. I tried a daily one, but didn't like it, so stopped after 3 months. When I remember to use the meds, it is really helpful. I sometimes don't realize I need one in time, but I'm getting better at that. I have had a couple of times that I was even smart enough to take them in advance (court…

The apps synced perfectly and I don't have to add my exercise manually anymore. Viva technology!

I'm going on a ride today, so I'll see how mapmyride registers it. Syncing Fitbit was really easy. I think there is an icon you can just click on the Fitbit site.
-
I use a FB group called 12 steps and 9 tools. I used to be in others but they got too big, too much advice giving, too much about dieting and eating disorder treatment. Please add me if you start a private group.
-
I don't think they did either. That's part of why I was so frustrated about hearing it over and over. I got over it. :)
-
I would join. Do you have a FB group? There would probably be more activity there. I am in some OA based groups there, but not a Secret one, although I know they exist. Just my 2 cents about groups on MFP, they are not as accessible, and would be better if our group messages popped up on phones or notices about them on our…

The door to OA is always open if you want to come back <3

There are also over 150 phone meetings every week. My favorites are on 712.432.5200 code 4285115# They start at about 4pm Pacific time and go on for at least 6 hours every night. A new meeting, with a new focus starts at the top of every hour. You don't have to share, you can just listen. I like the phone meetings, because…

I did this study with a friend. I thought it was ok, but honestly not as good as the workbook (for me). Also keep in mind that his study is not OA approved. I have been in OA since 2005, using mfp for just over 2 years now, and am very familiar with CR. I was asked to be a leader but declined, as my heart (and success) has…

Did a couple of workouts up a smaller hill, practicing for the big hill. I think I will try the big hill again this weekend and see how far I get. Last time I got half way up.
-
YaY! I hope you get a medal for it too.
-
I have a new goal to get to the top of a certain hill in my city. So far I can do half. My goal is to ride to the top by Halloween. Also I think I am making some headway in finding a group of local ladies to ride with. I'm a slow rider, beach cruiser type of bike rider. The spandex ladies are too fast for me. But I'm…

I don't know if I will do this forever, but I will do it again today.
-
Going to ride 30 miles today. Woke up not feeling strong. I will stop early if I need to. I have nothing to prove, and want to keep this fun and safe.

you can find more info about oa at www.oa.org Welcome!

There are tons of meetings on this number and code. Every evening for about 6 hours. I often listen while I'm driving or walking. It's a great way to stay in touch with the program for me. I go to 2 f2f meetings per week, but this I can do for half and hour at a time if needed without disturbing the meeting :)
-
I'm here, I'm here :) Checking in once a week or so!
-
I find the sleep info interesting, too. I don't wear it every night at this point, because I think I got the info I needed.
-
Remember that your arm needs to be able to swing in order for the Flex to work. Good color!
-
I chose the One and I love it. I would not like to wear a rubber colored band around my wrist, so the Flex is out for me. I clip mine to my bra strap most of the time, but clip it to my shoe when I ride my bike. If you decide to get one, let's hook up there too!
-
My intention for today is to walk 12K steps, stay within mfp goal, and say what I mean, mean what I say, and don't say it mean.
-
I am also a COE/B, in OA since 2005, had a 9 month relapse in there, but otherwise abstinent the whole time. I am not sponsoring right now but can always use more partners in recovery. I have a lot of experience with the steps, tools, and traditions. Message me any time!

I just started using it a couple of weeks ago. I really love it. Still trying to figure it all out. I have the Fitbit One. It syncs with MFP so I don't have to add my exercise unless I want to, then Fitbit automatically readjusts its info so I don't overestimate. Really happy so far, and learning a little more every day.
