I LOVE luna bars...I use them sometimes to kick start my metabolism first thing in the morning then have a snack at 10:00 or so to get adequate calories in combination with lunch. They are better than nothing if you do not have time for breakfast!

Artificial sweeteners and splenda spike your insulin levels by tricking your body into thinking you are about to consume something sweet. They then make you crave carbs. So...its best to use them in small amounts.

5 times a day. Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner. You have to eat every 4 hours to keep your metabolism up. I hear your body starts to kick into "fat storing" mode if you go longer than that :).

Back to nature makes a few crackers that are good. I believe they have a "wheat thins" type and a few others. You can purchase these in the "healthy cracker" section at most grocery stores. good with cottage cheese!

I love bread...this is a great question. I eat one bread once a day. I only eat pepperidge farm 9-grain (per trainer). Its really yummy and pretty affordable.
