Thanks everyone! I appreciate the advice.

New Zealand... Oooh. My favorite workout brand is from there. Icebreaker. I LOVE their stuff. I get a lot of my workout clothing online at Sierra Trading Post. They have some awesome gear.

Only bra I can run in without giving myself two black eyes. I LOVE this bra.

Uhh... What? I don't think I have ever heard that one before.

Just 95 right now, but I am "low tone" due to CP, whatever that is supposed to mean and recovering from an injury.

Loan implies they will one day pay it back.

Uhh good for you. Sadly I don't think gardening would cut it for me in reaching my goals. I love hiking and running outside, but I equally love going to the gym and getting stronger and healthier. Ehh.

Eh. I eat a healthy well rounded diet, but enjoy taking a vitamin just in case I fall short as a safetly precaution.

I had something similar in Peru while backpacking. They made quinoa porridge for breakfast and it was AMAZING!!!!

I workout the same as when I'm not on my period. Just because I'm grumpy, bleeding and tired doesn't change the fact that I still owe myself a workout.
-
I tried it, but the logic and science behind it was too flawed for my taste.

Unsupervised children. I get if I am going to Red Robin or something it is going to be a different environment then a nice restaurant. But still, watch your kids and keep them in check. I once had a kid launch their filthy toy car across a room and have it knock over my drink and the parents did nothing. People on their…

Yup. I have high arches and I know exactly what you are talking about

I have made friends in classes, but when I am doing weights then I am usually too busy dying to make friends or glaring at whoever is on the squat rack.
-
Definitely. That or Strong Lifts.
-
Good luck. I started it, but had to back off when I start training for my half. I miss my weight lifting!
-
Love this! I am lucky enough where there are just as much women as men in the free weights. A fact I didn't even notice until I got over myself and started lifting.

I did the 5k and then moved from there to the 10k. I was running so much more doing the 10k intervals that I could still pretty easily run a 5k. I think you should be fine, but if you are worried about it add a 30 minute run here or there.

I have cerebral palsy, fatigue extremely fast and can run 2+ hours. I'm dedicated to it, but not 100% and it definitely isn't my life. But if someone like me, who is below average can do it... It really doesn't take anything special to be able to do it. Sounds to me like the OP needs to be fueling up. I couldn't run that…

The number one item on my bucket was to hike to Machu Picchu in Peru.... So I decided I was going to do it. And that meant getting fit. Along the way in getting fit and healthier I found other goals as well. I ran the first mile of my life and decided I liked it and wanted to run a half and a full. I did a mud run and got…

I just started training for my first half, so my lifting has taken a back seat. It has been a week and I already miss it.

I love it all! Their hummus is amazing. I always keep a Paneer Tikka Masala in the freezer for an on the go lunch... I honestly love just about everything there. Their JoJo's are WAY better than Oreos. Cookie butter. They have some great wine... AND now I am hungry and want to hit up Trader Joes.

Also known as the common sense diet? Haha. Evidently that is too complicated for some people.

1. Twin Peaks 2. Firefly 3. Doctor Who 4. Wonderfalls 5. The Young Ones

Go for it! You can do it. Dirty Girl is super easy compared to other mud runs and very noncompetitve and nonintimidating. It is set up for you to succeed and have a fun and dirty time doing it. Mud runs in general have the most supportive people you will meet. If you struggle everyone there will stop and help cheer you on.…

Working out never gets easy. It will always involve hard work. However, find something you like doing so you don't mind the hard work. I hate yoga. I think it is boring. Same with zumba. So I don't do them. I run and lift weights with an occational something else just to mix things up. If you don't enjoy running find…

Old Navy has petite sixes for is shorties and is pretty roomy in the butt. I have a few from there that have stayed on and in place through a few mud runs that I love. They are also currently on sale.

One of my biggest dreams was to hike to Machhu Pichu. So I booked the trip. And then worked my butt off to get in shape for it.

I have something like that near me. I have taken a few classes. The classes were super easy, but a lot of fun!
