I agree with roliepolieolie...i had the 2lb a week goal and found it too restricting as 1200 calories were just too little. I changed my goal to 1lb a week and now have a daily allowance of 1410. It's amazing the difference that extra 200 has made. It feels more achievable. Also, don't just add food calories, add…

Hi you have my sympathy, it can be very disheartening when the weight does not come off despite doing everything right. Hang on in there it will come off. You might need to up your exercise though to kick start your metabolism. Your body might be 'panicking' and storing fat tat the moment due to diet changes. If so, this…

I do love walking though but like you prefer to have a buddy and make a day of it walking somewhere beautiful. (i live in Scotland so plenty places to choose from) I have recently been given an MP3 player as a…

Hi i have been an ovo lacto vegetarian for 27 years. I am 49 and was told by my doctor that i was peri menopausal at the age of 38. I am, however, apart from the odd little blip over the years, as regular as clockwork and have no other symptoms. I have therefore concluded that that my GP must have been wrong. My mother was…

Wow remind me not to post on these boards any time soon! What a lot of rude unsupportive comments. Some people on this post have given great advice and this obviously does not appy to them. I wish you the best of luck on your attempts to reduce your sugar intake. The fact that you want to is the first step towards…

Hiya Give me a few months and a few stones and i will be up for it! I love being out in the Scottish Countryside (i live in Glasgow) but I need to confine my current hikes to fairly flat walks. My overburdened and ageing knees can't cope with steep hills. Good luck though!

Ricotta cheese added to a tomato based pasta sauce makes it lovely and creamy, but still low calorie.
