  • I think you should do it. The freedom of exercising without a little one calling out "mommy" is worth alot. You deserve that! Sounds like you are a busy mom, but the most important thing you can do for your family is take some time out for YOU!! It may seem selfish at first but in the long run, it gives them more time with…
  • Sadly, if he won't listen to a doctor then he most likely will not listen to you. I hear people say "I've tried everything and I just can't lose weight". The harsh reality is that no they have not tried everything...they have tried the fad diets. The only thing that really works is moving more and eating less. If people…
  • My vote is yes, but if it keeps you more accountable then do what you need to do! I don't log in my sugar free creamer and I still lose weight!
  • Marzetti's makes a yogurt dip called Otria (over in the salad section). I like the one with feta and dill the best and I slice up a cucumber to go with it! It is very good and good for you too. Someone said something about the steamable veggies...we love, love, love Pictsweet steamed edamame with sea salt! I crave salty…
  • First off, CONGRATS! What a great accomplishment! Secondly, I am now inspired! I know what to do. I know how to do it but I have simply lacked the motivation to get it done. I need to lose 40-50 pounds! You have now given me the inspiration to work my butt off for the next 2.5 months and get it done! Are you just counting…
  • I have always wondered about whether to weigh meat before or after it is cooked...so you are not the only "slow" one. Hmmmm, interesting stuff I learn here!!
  • I like cashews and on the Planters nutrition it says 1 oz is about 46 pieces....well some of the pieces are whole, some are not so it really is not accurate to eat 46 and assume you are at 1 oz. I weighed them out just now and it was MUCH LESS than 46 cashews in an ounce!!
  • Someone at my gym said they took theirs to Radio Shack and they changed it no problem.
  • I just got my lab results back and my LDL is about average. I am 38. I went research crazy on the web about what to eat to help lower. Good thing I like oatmeal!! Thanks for sharing your story!! I hope my results turn out like yours!
  • Speaking of burgers, instead of using a bun I grill two large portabello mushroom caps. I sprinkle then with a little garlic salt and grill them beside the burgers and use that as my bun instead of bread....saves you some calories and WAY better than a bun!!
  • Yes, it is sort of grayish black. It is NOT pretty to look at it but it sure tastes good. It would be great at a Halloween party!
  • I do this too. I will weigh and I will get so discouraged that I just go shovel the food in. How crazy is that? I am trying to make my new motto "Eat to live instead of living to eat".
  • I don't know. This was the first time I made it. I would think it would be okay for longer than that. Everything in it with exception to the lemon juice was not refrigerated so I would think it would last a bit longer than three days.
  • oh the cookie diet or how about the FULL bar...fill up on this God knows what it is bar and then you won't want to eat a regular meal. Here is the secret to all those that think gimmicks work.......EAT LESS MOVE MORE>>>you will look better but more importantly you will FEEL better!! And you don't have to pay three monthly…
  • I saw a lady walking with the sticks the other day and I had NOT seen the commercial for them yet...I didn't know what the heck she was doing!!
  • Well usually anything that sounds too good to be true is and while I could see some different muscles getting worked...they would adapt quite quickly and then I am out 100 bucks.
  • went to amazon and read the reviews per someone's advice a few posts up and after reading those, I think I will NOT spend 100 bucks on these shoes...guess I will just walk an extra mile a day instead!
  • I work my butt off in spin classes and the most I have ever burned in an hour was 625. I think it is quite unrealistic to burn much more than that in an hour!!
  • I also have a pretty bad case of plantar fac. so I am also wondering if this will help or hinder that. I guess the only way to find out is to get some and see what happens.
  • I walk 2-3 miles everyday...however winter is looming and I have recently moved to the midwest from the south so my outdoor walking time may quickly get changed to gym/treadmill time! I was thinking I would only use them for walking. I don't know. I just keep seeing the Reebok commercial and was curious if anyone had tried…
  • In 24 hours my polar HRM said I burned 2600 calories. I walked 4 miles in that period but other than that just did my basic life routine. I have about 35 pounds to lose so I am not certainly not BL size. I only ate about 1400-1500 calories yesterday so now I kind of know what a 24 period looks like.
  • As of 7 o'clock this morning, I have burned 1453 calories and I walked 4 miles in there too. I decided to wear my HRM for 24 hours to see what I actually burn in a day.
  • Thanks for 411. I love the show for the stories as well and I love to see their "after" moments. I do believe that moderation (in everything) is key to successful weight loss. I wish these people well in their journey and will be tuned in next Tuesday regardless of how much they eat or don't eat!!
  • Just out of curiosity I decided to put my polar HRM on as soon as I got up. I am going to wear it for 24 hours and see what I burn on an average day (including my exercise). I am just curious b/c those numbers are so huge. I do realize it is a TV show and what they do is NOT normal. I was really interested in what…
  • It may be that they just lied on the old packaging and since they were re-doing it they decided to be truthful....sometimes I wonder just how truthful that information is on any food. We sure do put alot of trust in people that we don't know when we read those labels.
  • When mine were that I age I walked 3 miles with them in a double jogger and then in the evenings as soon as they went to be I went out and walked three more. I grew to love that quiet time in the evenings walking ALONE!
  • Get a road bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I started on a trek hybrid and thought it was the greatest bike ever, then did a metric century on it and said NEVER AGAIN. Traded that baby in a TREK WSD road bike and LOVE it. I love TREK bikes. Go to your local bike shop and talk them about your wants/desires and hopefully they can…
  • I had the same problem last night!!
  • I have one but rarely use it. I have two bottle cages on my bike and if we are doing longer than 50 we take cash and small cooler on the back of one our bikes. I find the camel pack uncomfortable but will use it if it is really hot out and we are going to be on the road for a long ride. We are planning a century ride in…
