This May, I am continuing to work on increasing my water intake (still having trouble with that) and eating breakfast every day (I am getting better but still not having something every day). Hopefully, I can develop these as proper habits and not hit and misses.

Sitting on my couch watching the blizzard rage outside my window and feeling very glad not to have to venture outside today. I already have snow drifts between 21 and 30 inches in parts of my driveway and yard. Don't you just love spring?

Hi. I just joined so I hope the last few of us on this thread can help support each other on our weight loss/healthy lifestyle journey. I am, obviously, a teacher. I teach French as a Second Language in Manitoba, Canada from Grade 5-Grade 12 as well as Psychology 40S and Grade 2 French. I have been trying to lose weight…

Hello. I just joined this group and am looking forward to developing new habits (and breaking some bad ones) to help me achieve my goals and become healthier. I have decided to focus on two new habits for the month of April. I will drink at least 4 cups of water a day--I am a diet soda addict and that tends to be my drink…

I am hoping, at the bare minimum, to lose 60 pounds. I have already lost almost 14 so just over 45 to go. If I can make it there, then I would like to lose another 20-30 pounds on top of that. I would be happy with the 60 though.

Sizing is such a subjective thing. Every brand of clothing seems to use a different sizing system. Right now, I don't care what the size says, I just want to be able to go into any store I want and find something that will fit me and look good. I want to stop buying plus sized clothing.

Where do you travel? Do you stay in one place for several days? Is there a refrigerator available? If you are somewhere with a fridge, try hummus and cut up vegetables or a whole wheat pita or tortilla. I often bring instant oatmeal (I know it is not perfectly healthy) but it beats some of the other food around. I also…

I'm in. I need to step up my game as I'm only losing about .5 lbs each week.

I'm interested. I don't eat a huge amount of fast food (we have none in my town) but I drink far too much soda.

I've added another miles to my total. I know I need to start putting in more miles to prep for summer. Here's hoping.

I just restarted my journey this week. I have traveled 15.5 miles so far.

Well, I actually started walking yesterday (made 3.5 miles) but today I wiped out on the cement and took out my knee. I guess I'll just have to camp out for a week or so until the swelling goes down and I can move my knee more than an inch in any direction. I am going to view this as a minor setback and will resume my…

Hi, I just found this group and I think it's a wonderful idea. I love The Hobbit and LOTR. I hope I can make the distance like Bilbo but I think I'll wear shoes to walk.

I like to bring trail mix to nibble on which is much healthier than regular snacks. Depending on where you stay, if you have access to a kitchen, make your own meals if possible. I know I love trying new restaurants but I like to go to grocery stores and make a meal. Even if you have no kitchen available, you can make a…

Kudos to those who were able to quit cold turkey. I tried and failed--again and again and again. I used the patch and never had any cravings. I never had the urge to smoke and I still don't; in fact, the smell makes me ill now--and I've been smoke free for over ten years.

I would convert--I did. I liked WW and was successful at first; however, when the points system changed, I found I wasn't as successful as before. I also like being able to track my sodium and other components rather than just points or calories. I find myself continually astonished at the sodium count of some of my foods…

I'll be your friend. I have about 75 pounds to lose. I also have only been on the site for a short time and have lost two pounds. Good luck on your weight loss journey.
