Probably anything is better than the SAD, but I did Paleo for six months and my cholesterol hit the roof, plus I could not lose weight no matter how much I exercised. This is just my experience. Went back to vegan (like 95-98%) and cholesterol dropped 53 points, plus I lost about 10 pounds without trying. Good luck no…

I suggest the good old library to find workout videos. You'll probably have to go through some stinkers (like the yoga instructors who you'd like to pimp-slap after two minutes), but you can probably find a few you like, so you've got variety AND free, so BAM! Good luck! :drinker:

No, I'd say have one serving (just ONE) to get it out of your system and then move on. :drinker:

Did you measure? Did you use a pair of pants or skirt to see if it fits better? Throw that damn scale away, girl!

Thanks for the laugh of the day!:drinker:

Me, me, me! I got my fitbit for Christmas and I LOVE it! I only dislike that I forget to set the timer for sleep sometimes (like last night). I'll send a friend request to you.:drinker:

Last night I dreamed I gave birth to triplets, a boy, a girl and another boy. I'm 48 years old and HAPPY to wake up to my three teenage girls!

I tried it and felt so bad, I could not get through one day. I do juice as part of a healthy diet, but not *as* the diet itself. If you are serious about it, try going to http://www.rebootwithjoe.com/ and get info on recipes, etc. It's the guy who did the Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead DVD. Good luck to you whatever you decide to…

130-135 is my goal weight. Now that I have a lot more muscle than I used to, I seem to be heavier. There's a site, incidentally, where you can see what different people look like at the same weight and height as you. It's mybodygallery.com. I think there's another one, too. Good luck and go for whatever size feels healthy…

Congrats! You are an inspiration. :drinker:

The hubby just gave me a fitbit for Christmas! Haven't opened it yet, but the outside says it tracks everything, including SLEEP, which I'm very interested to see. Good luck to you whichever route you take! :drinker:

A pound?? Seriously, girl. You have more important things to focus on than ONE POUND. Keep feeling skinny & get on with the day! :drinker:

I looked at your posts, and most of them are Beachbody-related. I'm a former BB coach, and I just got sick of having to troll for customers. Don't use this as a forum to troll for customers, please. It's a turnoff.

OMG! Thanks for the cackle of the day!!:drinker:

I'm a big believer in you get what you ask for, especially in marriage. TELL the man: THIS is what I need from you. If you want him to just listen, let him know that's what you need. If you want him to be encouraging, tell him. Don't expect any man to read your mind.

Yes, but you may want to pay for one session with a personal trainer to make sure your form is good. Good luck! :drinker:

So I'm not quoting this as gospel, but I have read/heard that alcohol slows down your metabolism for up to four days. I hesitate to post this, because the crazies may come out and slice & dice me for it, but I read it somewhere! Take it however you want to. That being said, I LOVE me a good glass of booze! :drinker:

I feel for you. My maternal grandmother was horrible to me and my sister, and on top of it was wonderful to some of my cousins -- she basically picked and chose who she treated well and who she treated like s@%. Some of my cousins are trying to tell me now that she was never mean to me, it's just how she was raised, which…

Well, I went Paleo and my weight, blood pressure and cholesterol all went up. I know people swear by it, but it didn't work for me. Going back to 95% vegan (with about 5% off-plan food) works for me. Cholesterol is down 53 points just by diet change. Good luck to you whatever you choose! :drinker:

Thanks for the laugh! And good for you! :drinker:

I really have a hard time with this one, especially car trips, so it's good you're on a plane! For the plane ride, nuts (but watch the serving size) with dark chocolate (again watch how much), apple slices if you can get them not to turn with sunflower butter to dip it in; baby carrots & dip. That's the plane ride. Oh, and…

Start lifting weights and stop comparing yourself to your hubby. Your hubby has more testosterone than you and also naturally more muscle mass than you bc of this. You can change your body -- not necessarily the scale -- tremendously by lifting weights. Pick a pair of pants or a skirt that's tight and use it as your gauge.…

You pay as much as these guys do. When I go to the gym to lift (which usually I don't, bc I have free weights at home), I walk in there like I own the damn place. Walk in there like you OWN the damn place! Psych yourself up for it if you have to. If you can't find the girl balls to do this, talk to employees, then move it…

I'm 5'6" also and looked fantastic at 138. My current goal is 135, and I have NO IDEA what I weigh now, bc I'm scared of the scale! Every time I got on it 3-4 months ago, it was 161. I've significantly changed my eating (lots of veggies, fruits & whole grains, no animal foods) and am feeling and seeing a change, but I…

Don't know if it's related, but my blood pressure always goes sky high when I take ibuprofen the day of a doctor's visit. Interesting.

To clarify, WHOLE FOODS plant-based choices are documented as being better for you insofar as cholesterol, heart issues and some cancers. The other posters are absolutely correct -- just because it's "vegan" doesn't mean it's healthy. Potato chips are vegan. Not looking for a fight here, FYI. (See The China Study book,…

I vote for the lowly band. If you do standing exercises using the bands for legs & butt, you'll tone up. Good luck! :drinker:

Whatever you can sustain long-term, do that. If you procrastinate like crazy or dread having to do something, don't do that. Consistency is huge. Good luck whatever you decide to do, and hooray for you for doing something! :drinker:

Congrats on such a great job! The before looks like your older sister! :drinker:
