I enter it under cardio, since for some (unknown) reason, MFP does not count weightlifting as burning calories. Add the entire time, it won't be a lot of calories. And good for you for strength training! It will reshape your body like nothing else.

I'd say drink a LOT of water and be sure you always have it within reach; schedule a time when you're going to eat next and don't do it before then; and do your best to stick to snacks like a piece of fruit with walnuts, etc. Good luck!

Sent a little prayer and happy thoughts your way. Good luck!

awwwww . . . we are ALL disappointed eventually; children are disappointed in the parents they got, and parents are surprised at the children they got. it all works out in the end.
-
Welcome to MFP, girls! I love this site; it's very positive, encouraging and friendly. Here's to reaching all your dreams (weight & otherwise)!:drinker:

It's definitely not a "failure"! And "success" isn't a number, either. Just log it and get on with life. You can do it!

I am doing ChaLEAN Extreme; it's a weightlifting-based program, and I LOVE it! It's heavy weights (whatever that means for you) 3X a week, then intense cardio intervals 3X a week; 2 days of rest. I haven't lost a ton of weight, but things are fitting better now, and I am beginning to see definition in my upper arms, which…

Wow! Who in the world could keep up that schedule? I am doing ChaLEAN Extreme, which is a weightlifting-based program. She has you doing HEAVY weights (whatever that is for you) for approx. 35 minutes 3X a week; then we do intense cardio intervals 3X a week. It is a great program. I have not lost a ton of weight (and I'm…

Don't have any apps, but I love it on my good old computer. So positive, friendly & encouraging. Welcome, and best of luck to you!

This is THE biggest issue I see, especially with younger women (and to me, you are almost ALL younger! ) -- not eating enough. According to Jonny Bowden, women who lose weight healthfully do it on about 1,400 calories a day. My daily intake on MFP is 1580, and then it adds in more calories when I exercise. It all…

You are WAY braver than me, girl!

Welcome! This is a very positive, encouraging place to be. Here's to reaching your goals!:drinker:

Is there any way you could do a water workout? It kind of sounds like arthritis/joint issues to me (although I am NOT a doctor or medical person). Taking a second look at your diet is probably a good idea, too. Good luck!

Try Jonny Bowden's "150 Healthiest Meals on Earth" for a very healthy bunch of recipes & an interesting read. Good luck!

Sounds good, but I'd change the oil to olive oil.

Grab HEAVY weights & start toning! You cannot "bulk up" like a guy -- unless you have a history of being given steroids for anti-inflammation, OR unless you have the, um "equipment" that a guy has. Go for it & good luck!
-
Do it!! You sound like a great fitness instructor to me!. And by the way, I am not at my goal weight/size YET, but I am also studying to be a certified personal trainer. I totally believe I will get there. You will, too; go for it!

TEN POUNDS? Really? That doesn't seem likely. Maybe in a week or two, depending upon your eating habits. Wow. I think I'd get a new scale!
-
I'm just focusing on eating as healthfully as possible. I don't really subscribe to anybody else's plan. I'm kind of working out my own. Low carb, however, does seem to be a good thing, as long as the carbs you are avoiding are things like white bread, pasta, etc., and not veggies. AND as long as your protein options are…

Hey, that's fantastic! You did a great (and might I say effective) interval workout! W2G!
-
I would say because of your history, look into it, but don't be overly worried. And I have to laugh, because before I read your post, I was thinking: "small feet"?

Include veggies EVERY time you eat.

Great posts, everybody! I LOVE that so many women love their BOOBS!! (although I am NOT one of them!)
-
I can add two more from your pic: great SMILE and good skin!

Thanks for all the suggestions! It was SOOOOO good! Oh my goodness. I could not believe how tender & tasty it was. Thankfully, my neighbor came over; she gave me a marinade for it. So here's what I did, in case anybody wants a recipe: Take the meat out of the fridge for about 45 minutes - 1 hour & let it get to room…

Absolutely, yes! Happy to add friends. My kids are 15, almost 13 (this Sunday) and 11. How in the world you are coping with that big of a spread -- good grief, you need some support, mama!
-
Hooray for you! And not to be a dumb-a**, but what is an "NSV"?:blushing:

Pan-seared/oven-baked grass-fed filet mignon (first time making it, I'm a little nervous); boiled sweet potatoes; salad or carrots; and corn bread.
-
Well, the good news is you've already lost 35 lbs; congrats on that, it's a huge accomplishment! Some things to consider are: what is your stress level; how much sleep have you had; are you trying to be perfect on eating, or are you allowing yourself small cheats & treats (if not, that can set you up for bingeing). If all…

I don't know about Walmart, but what in the WORLD did you do, girl!? You look fantastic! And where is that 23 more "pounds to go" going to come from, your fingernails?
