Thinspo is either photoshopped models or genuinely sick anorectics for the most part. I'm with those saying you need to talk to someone you trust and seek counselling. I've suffered from an eating disorder, fat is not a feeling (that's what therapy has taught me) it's a redirection from an uncomfortable emotion to a…

I weigh every day, sometimes even a few times a day if im a home all the time. ive done it for years so the fluctuations dont bother me really. i'll only start worrying if theres a 4 or 5lb gain that lasts more than a few days. i actually find i go more mental when i can't weigh myself, i'm recovering for bulimia so if im…

another daily weigher here too and totally agree - awesome helpful post thank you for sharing :) ooo and well done on that steady downward trend there!

Agree that people saying you cannot lose weight undereating is just as bad as the people who say you do have to undereat massively to lose weight. Basically if you undereat enough you will eventually lose weight, it's just if you're doing it to the level an anorectic would you're gonna seriously eff yourself up in the…

Cheat days don't boost weightloss imo, they just give you the chance to indulge a little so you don't feel deprived if you are eating a restrictive diet.

just discovered roasted butternut squash & feta cheese salad... it's a little bit sexy....

LOVE this - totally brilliant read

i understand, ive cried over food many times, stole other peoples food to binge on etc. well done for being so strong, it's a big step. and ((hugs)) for how painful this was, i wouldn't wish those feelings on my worst enemy

You look fantastic - massive congratulations on your weightloss, determination and on transforming your life. such an achievement - i am in awe

usually between 2-300, which depending on my goal is 15-25% of my intake (i think, maths though is not my strong point) however i dont really monitor them / care about what the makeup of the food is im eating. As long as i aim to eat proper meals and get my veggies in, the rest of the macros mean nothing to me. my protein…

i think you look fantastic in that bikini and vote wear it. your stomach looks amazing you have notinng to worry about

I hide mine because im in recovery from an eating disorder and its hard enough for me to face when I go over my calories. Knowing that other people can see that i have and see what i've eaten makes me feel terrible. I know i need to accept that going over my calories isn't the end of the world, but i find myself not…

agree with the poster who takes b.vitamins.for energy. my body.doesnt absorb.b12 so.i habe three monthly injections and the diffetence from before i had them is incredible. literally a world of difference. i also.take.milk.thistle for my liver... mostly.bevaise it reduces hangovers imo. apart from that just a multivitamin…

Snickers has peanuts in so id go for that more satiety.for.your pudding. On another note your post has made me crave a snickers ice cream lol

excellent post. The people who said no you can't drink too much water need to do some proper research. it might be rare but you shouldn't give carte blanche to someone when you haven't made any mention of the risks, which are in this case very real and can be very fatal.
-
Absolutely you can drink too much water. If you drink too much water you dilute your electrolytes including sodium and potassium... symptoms include headaches, dizzyness, siezures, heart palpitations and can result in death. just make sure you#re keeping your electrolytes in there too and speak to a doctor if you feel…

For a cardio excercise thats upper body try standing with legs shoulder width apart, bending knees and punching hard at the air infront of you. it's not running but it is cardio and doesn't use the lower body at all
-
Mine varies depending on how much energy i have, when i#m working, and the weather but generally i aim for: Monday lunchtime 5k run Tuesday evening 1 hr boxercise Wednesday or friday lunchtime 5k run thursday evening 1 hr circuits. If its really pouring down i skip the running as i run outside round a lake so it really can…

good luck!

The thing is that binging is not always related to hunger either... For a lot of people its emotional and can occur whatever calories thwyre eating. I binge more with a higher calorie allowance. If you dont feel that you can offer non judgemental advice to someone who is struggling without automatically putting it down to…

Yea me too.... i don't think though that anyone who hasnt suffered with one can ever truly understand the madness. When i was first diagnosed my family doctor told my mother it was an adolescent power struggle and that i would just grow out of it if she ignored me. He then turned to me and said "besides you're not thin…

Speaking purely from my own experience and struggles, eating disorders are far less about wanting attention and far more about being unable to deal with difficult emotions and situations and therefore rationalising the negative down to a single controllable aspect. So you dont look at the fact that 'i feel xyz negative…

Yes that's normal as it tracks the calories burnt while just staying alive too. However, there can be issues with fitbit and MFP syncing if both are not set up correctly. initially when i got mine it was giving me loads of calories and then taking them away the next day - eventually managed to track it down to my MFP…

^^ too much water will dilute electrolytes such as sodium and potassium, all of them need to be balanced correctly for your body to function properly. hence the suggestion about trying the rehydration sachets :-)
-
You could try one of the mineral balanced rehydration drinks (dioralyte is very good as its designed to replace fluids and electrolytes post vomiting/diarrhoea) as they will up your electrolytes as well as fluid levels. Diabetes also has the symptoms of excessive thirst and urination though so see the doctor

pop to the bathroom and sneak a protein bar or something in there?

get an app like cardio trainer which tells you periodically how fast you are going and pace yourself. my single biggest problem was running too fast initially and then getting out of breath and getting a stitch really quickly. force yourself to start slow like 4-4.5 mph jogging and youll be able to go much further and wont…

Having to say no to myself. I naturally like quite healthy foods so eating veggies etc isn't a problem.... but saying no to nibbles, to the extra portion, to "oh go on then just one bowl of crisps"... is where i really really struggle.

to be honest i am hopeless i eat very carefully during the week but most weekend end up going out and getting p8ssed which then means hangover eating day which very often puts all my weight back on. BUT im looking to maintain and eat (in recovery from bulimia) rather than lose so i'm ok with that. I think if you want to…
