  • I couldn't live without my scale, I'm a daily weigh in addict, sometimes even 2 times a day, always in the morning and sometimes at night! I guess I'm compulsive not only with food but with my scale also! I rather be compulsive with my scale then my food though, you can't win them all. ;)
  • Okay here we go again. Just had a baby and I am on my maternity leave. I had lost over 60 pounds before getting pregnant, then gained 30lbs for the baby and now I've gained 25lbs on maternity leave, just by putting me aside and concentrating only on the baby. I need to find more time for myself. I would love to lose 25lbs…
  • I just had a baby and between the weight I gained having him(30lbs) plus being on maternity(25lbs), I've gained a total of 55lbs that I had lost before getting pregnant. I'm so mad at myself, I love my baby but I need to find time for myself. I'd like to lose 30lbs before X'mas, most of it at first will be water weight.…
  • First day for me was tough. I went over in my calories and didn't get a chance to exercise (I have a 6 week old baby) but I did log in every food I ate and almost lost a pound. Must be the breastfeeding every 3 hours (even at night)! Hoping today will be better, so far so good.
  • Even better!!! I'm due today! Come on baby, we are ready for you!
  • They say, you should be packed my 8 months but I'm still not packed and I'm due today. I'm such a procrastinator and I think my son is too, he just won't come out!!!
  • I started packing just now, adding things once in awhile and I'm due in 2-3days! Better stop procrastinating!
  • 39 weeks and 5 days- up 27lbs. My last son, I only gained 23 lbs. On the bright side, well kind of, the doctor thinks the baby will be around 10lbs so that means I really only gained 17lbs. Gotta think of the positive.
  • 36 weeks and gained 24lbs so far, most of the weight gain was during the first trimester (nausea and could only eat carbs). Can't wait to have this baby and start losing again. The doctor is hoping the baby will stay closer to the 9lbs but it looks like it's going to be another big baby. I haven't been gaining these last…
  • Met with my doctor, he wants to see me in 2 weeks, so it falls on xmas eve. All is good, still expecting a big baby, he is aiming for 9lbs only. Yikes! My other pregnancy, the doctor was figuring about 8lbs and my son was 9lbs 13 oz. So if he was off by 2 pounds, I'm scared that this time if the doctor says it's going to…
  • A question for all of you. I went to pre-register at the hospital and the nurse was telling me that 94% of people get the epidural now. I was kind of surprised on how high the percentage was. When I had my first son 13 years ago, we didn't even get the choice of having an epidural. I'm a bit worried cause the doctor said…
  • I'd love a sample of this special diet. My first son was 9lbs 13oz., the doctor told me I will be having another big boy!! He checked and I don't have gestational diabetes, he said I just make big babies!! It kind of stresses me out because the first one was a really hard labor and they let me rip on both sides. I hope…
  • Actually after reading lots of your suggestions, a humidifier came up alot, so I went and bought one. It was totally worth it, I still leave it on at night when I go to bed. It's just enough to make my throat feel better and less dry. My voice is back too, so it's getting better. My doctor told me to stay away from Tylenol…
  • Hello all! Moving to the third trimester board. Waiting for my gestational diabetes test, hopefully I don't get a call this week which will mean I don't have it. Wow, never thought I'd make it to my third trimester. It's been awhile, my son is 13 years old, so it's like starting all over!
  • Thanks, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping not to get a call. Now it's just to wait and see. Haven't really had a chance lately to really stress about it, cause I've been busy with report cards!
  • Had my 26 week appointment with my obstetrician and he says I am doing everything right, I only gained 1 pound in the last 30 days. But when he mesured the baby, he said he was a BIG boy, he wants me to take a test to see if I have gestational diabetes, I am a bit worried. He told me it could be that or that I just make…
  • I went for an ultrasound a couple of weeks ago, but the baby was really modest and kept turning away, so I am going back tomorrow, hopefully he/she wants to show a little bit more this time. On the plus side, I got great news today. I went to my appointment with my obstetrician and the baby is great, heartrate is 148, even…
  • Congrats on having a boy!! I will be finding out tomorrow, can't wait. I actually just want to make sure the baby is okay but knowing if it's a boy or a girl will be a plus.
  • 6 wks +3.0 10 wks +7.0 11 wks +6.0 13wks +9.0 14 wks + 9.0 15 wks +9.0 Well, I am passed my 17 weeks and haven't stepped on the scale for awhile. I don't have the heart or the will power to step on that stupid scale. :explode: I know it want up, I see my stomach grow and I'll be discouraged by the weight I gain! I…
  • Thanks this is really helpful advice. I can't wait to find out, the waiting is killing me. Of course, my first priority is knowing if the baby is okay but I really want to know if it's a boy or girl. When I had my son, 13 years ago, they didn't let us know and the ultrasound wasn't accurate so they didn't tell us at all.…
  • I am going on 17 weeks pregnant and I feel the baby move, they say you feel it earlier if it's not your first baby. I mostly feel butterfly tickles and they aren't often, only when I am laying down or taking a relaxing bath. I can't wait for the real kicks, that way I wouldn't worry all the time. I was also wondering, I…
  • I didn't think Fifty shades of gray was out in May? Oh well, I didn't read them either, maybe some day when I have more time. Although I have a feeling once the baby gets here, I won't have that much time!
  • I loved the doppler, I wish I could go see my Dr. again, just so I could hear the heartbeat and know the baby is alright. It should be a rule to go listen to your baby's heartbeat every week. I also can't wait to feel the baby, that way maybe I won't worry as much. I know your chances of miscarriage drops after 13 weeks…
  • I am due February 6 2013! I can't wait.
  • I hope I have water weight and I get lose 2 pounds! That would be great.
  • I was gaining really fast the first trimester, stupid cravings. I have been maintaining these last few weeks, so far so good. Would love to weigh the same for the next 5 weeks. We will see, I checked on this site http://www.baby2see.com/pregnancy_weight_calculator.html and I would need to maintain for the next 5 weeks to…
  • After 3 years of trying to conceive after getting married, I finally got pregnant. I had PCOS so it makes it difficult to get pregnant. I lost weight about 30 pounds and got pregnant. My son is now 13 years old and has always been healthy. Now, here I am after gaining alot of weight back and more over the years. Then, I…
  • Maybe you can convince your husband, that he can pick the boys name and you get to pick the girls name. ;)
  • :( so sorry for your loss. When I had a miscarriage last October, we were trying to conceive for the last 13 years and my son who is 13 was so sad when he found out we had lost it. But I got pregnant again 7 months later and this one it's going great. So keep up the faith, you will be back on this board before you know it!
