No, it's not too much. 5g/day is a pretty standard dose, but depending on your muscle mass, you can use more. I'm presently using 5g on off days and 15g on training days and there have been no ill effects in a few months.

It's just a healthy fat. If you're already taking fish oil, flax, MCT, etc, it's not going to do anything.

It's possible. Hypertrophy depends on time under tension, but the tension needs to be significant enough to elicit a training response. If you're below 70% of your max for the 15-20 reps, you're probably not going to get a hypertrophic training response (in other words, you're doing cardio).

Forgot about this thread. I pulled 500 in January, but failed at 495 or 500 a few times since. In my competition on Saturday I pulled 475, 505, 525 for my three attempts and hit all of them.

Yeah, if I hit my squat at 500, I'd have been in the neighborhood. Lots of work to do. When I started training I thought it would be really cool to go 3/4/5/...now I'm thinking 4/5/6 sounds pretty cool. Again, LOTS of work to do.

If your HR doesn't drop below 125 while lifting, you're either doing a very long Crossfit session or you're not lifting properly. Lift when it's lifting time. Do cardio when it's cardio time.

Gluten is found in wheat, rye, OATS, and barley, so stay away from oats. Even some that claim to be GF break me out, so I don't even try it. Some of the Chex cereals are GF, just look a the box.

Do a barbell based strength program for six months and see how much more effective it is. Use P90 (if you have to) for cardio on your off days.

OP, please do as Californiagirl says and please do not do anything Jillian Michaels. Jillian got the body she has by doing what CG does. She just markets BS cardio DVD's because she knows people will buy them.
