I am also curious about this. I have been researching heart rate monitors/calorie trackers for a while now but would love to hear every one elses' thoughts about them.

I vote try both ways out and see which one you prefer and which one fits your lifestyle the best. I think in the end they will both give you the same results so it comes down to personal preference. Just try not to lose it too fast. From past experience if I lost weight too fast then I would normally gain most of it back.…

If you search for strength training under cardio it'll come up.

Your success is amazing! It's so refreshing to see when other people finally realize that you in fact don't have to give things up in order to succeed. Congrats your journey and I hope you recover fast from your injury!

It doesn't matter if they are 'in' or not.. If you want to wear one then go ahead and do it. Everyone has a different reason for wanting something pierced. I've had mine pierced 3 different times now and I'm considering getting it done a fourth time and I'll be 27 this year. It's all a matter of opinion.

Congrats on your loss!! Your story is amazing! If you lost friends because you bettered yourself then honestly they weren't your real friends to begin with. Just stay on the path you are on and eventually you will make friends with other people who appreciate you and are happy for you and the journey you've been on!

Your story is amazing!! You look wonderful and think of all the positive impact you made for your daughter! :) Congratulations you are definitely inspiration!

For me it's the pooch as well.. It just never seems to want to go away. But that should be the case for most ladies. We have to have some extra fat on our bodies and that's usually the place since we are the ones who carry the babies.

For me, I usually gain weight right around the week prior and become very sluggish feeling throughout the week of. But usually once it is over I start getting my energy back within a few days and by the end of the week I'm getting back on track.

I'm 5'6.5" and my GW is 137 lbs. I want to get to that weight and maintain and then possibly go on to get down to about 133 lbs. My starting weight was 155 lbs and my CW is 142 lbs. So I think your goal weight is perfect for your height.

I love running to Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan. They seem to have the most upbeat songs.

Since I joined the military I have been going back and forth with my weight. I seem to be the type that will do really good for a long period of time and once I reach my goal I slack and go back to the way I was. At the beginning of this year I was slacking really bad with my workouts and drinking entirely too much. One…

I know the feeling of the weight room being intimidating. I used to have the same feelings about it. A way I got over it was I had a couple of guys I worked out with. They showed me and taught me a lot about the weight room and what works what muscles. You could always ask your friends if they are interested in working out…

I was able to do 2 pull ups in a row during my workout today!! I was so excited! My goal is 3 in a row and then I want to work up to 5 but since I started at not even being able to do one complete one, I was pretty excited.

I know the feeling of not wanting to work out in the morning because of lack of energy. It is definitely a battle for me to get out of bed to work out if I decide to do a morning work out instead of afternoon. One thing that helps me is I think about how crowded the gym is in the afternoon compared to in the morning. I…

If you have access to a gym, a great place to get workouts is bodybuilding.com. I'm doing a 12 week program from that site now and I'm really liking my progress so far. Other than that all the advice everyone else has posted is great plus don't forget proper nutrition is key! Good Luck!

I do have to say it is definitely a mind/matter for me. Just slow down some. No need to time yourself unless that's what you're going for but it sounds like you're wanting to run more for endurance than speed. If that's the case then don't worry about the time/speed and just run until you can't go any further. The couch to…

I wear Brooks running shoes and absolutely love them! I went to Finish Line and said I was searching for a good pair or running shoes. They directed me to the Brooks brand and I haven't strayed from them since. I've been wearing this brand for about 5 yrs now. Brooks shoes vary in price. The first pair I ever bought cost…

I honestly don't know the difference in what makes a scale a good one or bad one.. I know I used to refuse to own a scale because I am obsessed with it. I struggle to keep myself off of it multiple times a day. But I finally broke down and bought one about a year or so ago. I prefer digital ones because they are easier to…

I would give yourself at least 2 hours before working out, especially since you said you ate a lot of carbs and dairy. Don't want to make yourself sick while trying to get a workout in.

I'm 5'6" and 143 lbs.. Right now I'm wearing a size 8 in pants and a small/medium shirt. I like wearing mediums because they're longer.

I have recently been playing with the idea of getting one. My mom uses it and she loves her. But I know that I can become a bit obsessive about things too so maybe it's not for me either. Thanks for telling us about your experience with one! :)

I know exactly how you feel about having to know the numbers. For me it's like the number on the scale is what determins how big I am. I know that's not true at all but it's just how my thought process works. I'm trying really hard to fix that though.

Thank you SnuggleSmacks and Trisnbrysmom for your advice! It definitely helps put my mind a little bit more at ease on the topic.

Orangpeel757 if your sister is continuing that diet or is still having those types of symptoms I recommend the vitamin Biotin. It's for hair, skin, and nails. My doctor recommended it to me when I was having problems like that too. Helped me a lot

I've heard a lot about doing this recently.. I was wondering, did you feel like you were lacking energy during your workouts when doing IF?
-
I definitely know how you feel.. It's like you get so close to your goal you can almost feel it yet it seems like it's taking forever to make it there.. I am kind of in the same boat. By doing some harder workouts and different ones I'm kind of hoping to shock my body and restart the weight loss. Just hang in there, you'll…

You look amazing!! Keep up the good work! You'll get there before you know it! :)

I know exactly how you feel when you first start on this journey and see everyone eating all the good stuff, when you've completely cut it out. It'll make you feel like it's not fair that they can have it and you can't. I am also 5'6" and I started this journey a little over 2 months ago at 155 lbs. Now I am at 145 lbs and…

Hi! I've been using MFP for a little while now but just recently starting using it WAY MORE for the past 2 months. I'm in the same boat as you guys are!
