  • Today's a new day and this is a new week. You can't change what has been done. Just learn from it and keep going. Nobody is perfect.. Try to stay positive
  • I loved your sunglasses you were wearing! They are awesome! :)
  • I like doing cardio by myself. But when it comes to lifting I like have a partner with me. I don't push myself as hard during the lifting portion so it's nice to have someone there who is going to make me go harder.
  • I think losing weight and being the healthiest you can be is great for preparing to try and conceive. Actually being healthier can increase your chances of conceiving sooner rather than later. I am 5' 6.5" and weigh in at 137 lbs. My goal weight at the moment is 135 but eventually would like to be down to 130. I'm not…
  • I like sitting in the sauna after a workout. I've found that it helps me be less sore from an intense work out. Only time I sit in the sauna before a work out is in the winter time and I'm really cold. My gym keeps the temps set really cold so the sauna is a good way to get me warmed up and actually wanting to do something.
  • I am in the same boat as you.. I am doing the slow and steady pace. I love the quote 'it's a marathon not a sprint'. I started my journey back in May even though I have been a member of MFP for a while now. Since I began I have been losing an average of .4 to .5 a week and my goal weight is actually the same as yours. I am…
  • I like the Syntha-6 protein powder. I mix it with milk and it seems to be perfect for me for a breakfast replacement. I've tried a lot of the flavors and have liked all of them so far. As far as the vitamin goes I don't have any knowledge on it. Sorry.
  • I'm with you! Sriracha all the way! It's good on everything!
  • I don't normally talk to people at the gym unless they are giving me advice or helping with correcting form. I think the only time I do start a convo with someone is if I'm in the locker room and think one of the other girls' shoes are cute. I'm that person that if I think you have on something cute I'm going to tell you.…
  • A good quote to remember is, it takes 4 wks for you to notice, 8 wks for your close friends and family to notice, and 12 wks for the world to notice. That's one of my favorite quotes and in my experience it really does normally take about 4 wks to see a change in yourself.
  • I'm going to go with yes you do burn calories while doing sit ups. You burn calories when you move and you have to move in order to do sit ups. So why wouldn't you burn calories while doing them.
  • I took Cellucor HD for a month and honestly I didn't have any extra results from them. I lost weight while taking them at the same rate i was before I started taking them. I wouldn't waste your money on them if I were you.
  • Wow! That is amazing!! Congrats on your NSV! I probably would have been crying like a baby if I could suddenly fit into 3s.
  • This sounds like an amazing workout!! Definitely writing it down to try myself!
  • If you've been on the same BC for 2.5 years and never noticed any weight gain before then it's highly unlikely that your BC is having any affect on your body as far as weight goes.
  • Your results are amazing!! I've never really looked into calisthenics before but seeing your results I am definitely interested in it. Guess I have some reading to do on it. :)
  • Protein bars and protein shakes are good sources of calories and are healthy for you. You could always bring more snacks with you to work too like yogurt, fruits, or veggies..
  • I want to get down to the size I was at my wedding, which I'm only 3 lbs away from it. But to keep reminding myself of my ultimate goal I use a wallet size wedding pic as my book mark for the current book I am reading. I read all the time so I constantly see that pic and that reminds me of what I want to look like and what…
  • There are evenings that the same thing happens to me. Try reading a book to occupy your mind. That will some times work for me. But I also love to read. Another trick for me is if drinking plain water doesn't work then try drinking something like crystal light lemonade. Sometimes water just doesn't cut it and your body is…
  • You can always start by taking routes that you know not a lot of people will see you running. When I first started running that's what I did because I felt like people were always staring at me when they would drive by. I do feel a little self conscious still when I'm running so I now try to take routes that I know none of…
  • Oh wow 40 lbs in 4 months! That's amazing! Way to stay dedicated and not lose focus!
  • You definitely gave me a laugh today. I can't help to think that I would say something like this about my husband too in a kidding matter of course. lol Too funny!
  • Like everyone else has mentioned,I would say try putting your hair in a bun. I am in the military and have to wear my hair that way every day. Since it's already in a bun I usually workout with it still pinned back. Works great and I actually prefer it in a bun rather than hanging down my back now. Hope you find a solution…
  • It sounds like it might be a little bit of both. Most people do start out losing more weight rather fast and then it slows down and levels out. But your period could also be a factor. I know it's ridiculously hard for me to lose weight during mine. It can be frustrating.
  • I usually will weigh myself once a week on the same day each week. Sometimes I'll go 2 weeks in between weigh ins. I used to be really bad about getting on the scale multiple times a day though.
  • I've had Ensure and I love them! My favorite is the chocolate flavor. I've always thought vanilla flavored drinks had a funny taste to them. When I was between the ages of 17 and 19 I struggled really bad with eating/nutrition so my mom got me Ensure and Boost drinks for me to help replenish my vitamins and minerals. I…
  • Not drinking alcohol will definitely help you lose weight! I enjoy having drinks as well but when I deployed I was forced to not drink. Weight started coming right off for me. I will definitely be sober for the entire month of Sep because I am still deployed.
  • If you're allowing yourself at least one rest day per week then I think you are doing good. The best advice I can give you is listen to your body. It'll tell you when you have over worked it.
  • I know you mentioned you drink a lot of water while you exercise, but do you drink a lot of water throughout the day before and afterwards too? I know when I'm dehydrated and don't realize it I get the worst headaches ever after I'm done working out and usually want to take a nap.
  • Awesome job for resisting temptation! After not eating for that long, knowing me I would have given into a vending machine snack before leaving. Haha
