general quesitons for getting started

Hello! I am trying to loose a few pounds but ultimately get into better shape. I dont eat extreemly unheathy but i do plan to alter my diet a bit by adding healtheir options, especially for snacking. I also plan on incorperating daily exercise into my new regimen. I was looking into shakeology, simply because its nice to have a shake ready in the morning to kick start the day, and mostly because it says it helps boost energy (which i could really use). After research, i noticed that many people said that shakeology is a waste of money and they just use protien shakes. I guess my quesiton is, if i choose to go the protien shake route, do any of you have any recomendations about protien powders that youve liked? Again, im mostly just looking to loose a little weight (10-15 pounds) and tone up my belly area. My ultimate goal is not to build a crazy amount of muscle. I would just like something that could help give me a boost of energy, that could possibly help curb cravings and replace breakfast when need be (usually im able to get a pretty healthy breakfast in). Also i was looking at possibly taking some viatmins. Ive read that B1 helps boost metabolism so i was going to give that a try. Any thoughts on that?

Thanks so much in advance for your help. Im so new to this so any input would be soo greatly appreciated.

I like the Syntha-6 protein powder. I mix it with milk and it seems to be perfect for me for a breakfast replacement. I've tried a lot of the flavors and have liked all of them so far. As far as the vitamin goes I don't have any knowledge on it. Sorry.
