Is that Senna Leaf tea? Because that's what I was going to recommend. I find that things are a lot less "regular" since I've started eating more protein, and senna leaf tea (occasionally) really helps. I find that it's best to take it at night, and it kicks in around the next morning.

I don't know about OP, but I will say that I've gone with my macro split because it's what the program I'm on recommends. I think even 40% is higher than I'd like, which is why I focus more on total grams per day than on percentage. If I ate at 40% on heavy activity days (when I aim for about 1800 calories), I'd explode…

I'm at 40/40/20 myself, and also find it pretty difficult some days to hit my protein target. I try to include protein with every meal, and also drink a lot of shakes. I also love baking with protein powders. I will say that I am not TOO picky about hitting the goal when eating back my exercise calories. I generally eat…

I've received one or two encouraging PMs, and the occasional question. Honestly, most of the PMs I receive are come-ons (not that I'm tooting my own horn; it always baffles me because there are WAY hotter/fitter/smoking hot babes here), to the point that I don't check them as often as I might otherwise. I've never received…

If done it both ways. I successfully lost a bunch of weight a few years back just from counting calories and not moving around a lot (didn't really have time then), but I felt hungry all the time and just got skinnyfat. These days I track calories but haven't really cut down all that much. I'm more focused on macros and…

I hate it- but I am also not a fan of the elliptical. I have the attention span of a fly. One thing for too long, in general, isn't my cup of tea. I find it's easiest to get cardio in through activities that are a little different every time- like dancing/zumba. I won't lie, though, I don't really like cardio in general.…

Some protein powders or drinks are "padded" with extra calories, and are used specifically for weight gain purposes. These are labelled pretty clearly, though. Your run-of-the-mill protein supplements won't affect weight loss, though. Even the "weight gainer" stuff won't cause you to gain weight if you're eating at a…

Just eat at maintenance until the second trimester, then up it (twins or no- and you'll know by then). Even weight loss is normal in the first trimester. I lost fifteen pounds in the first trimester of my first pregnancy, then gained twenty-five before delivering a month early (otherwise would have been closer to thirty).…

Lol. Not so much doing it wrong as being pressed for time. Work, workouts, young kids, chores... It adds up. I'm more of a "short and frequent" kind of gal. A couple of days ago my six-year-old picked the lock on our bedroom door and popped in on us. Take what you can while you can, I say!! :)

My right arm's definitely stronger than my arm because I'm right-handed. Also, I've got mild scoliosis, which means I've always sort of compensated by doing things on different sides of my body. For example, in order to minimize pain, I've always held kids on my right hip with my right arm. The downside is that there's a…

I've got a Polar A300 and love using it along with the Polar Flow app.

I actually snorted.

None of my sessions last long enough for me to burn much, so I don't log it. Haha. #lazyhusbandburn #seriousthough

Definitely don't feel bad! It's a common misconception! I spent years doing the calorie counting/cardio thing and kept failing because I just couldn't maintain it. It sucked. It's because of MFP and posts such as this one that I learned how wrong I'd been. Have started lifting- and am only in my sixth week of it- and have…

I'll pass. Gross. Edible doesn't mean "good".
-
Protein shake with chocolate whey protein, frozen mixed berries, chocolate almond silk, and no fat plain greek yogurt.
-
I never use the MFP database for cardio or lifting, because it's super inaccurate, so it doesn't really bother me too much personally. I use a Polar HRM with chest strap (a bit more accurate). I track the calories burned with all exercise under "cardio" (though weight training usually burns about half what cardio does in…

TDEE is about 1950. Am doing the LiveFit program, which means eating at 40/40/20 (which is fine for now, but probably not something I want to do forever, lol). I aim for about 1500 on rest days, 1650 plus half my exercise calories on days I work out. Keeping it slow and steady, looking to lose fat in such a way as to…

Well, almost one and a half pounds..... But still, yes, haha. Ten days later, having introduced cardio, I'm still only at just over 155, so I haven't changed much according to the scale. The pictures and my clothing tell a different story. For example, prior to starting the program, I'd already lost about twenty-five…

Other than a protein shake (which I do have after every workout), I'd have to say chicken. Big time. Juicy chicken breast with only a pinch of salt. Nom nom nom!

This, totally! I'm doing LiveFit, and she recommends not eating more than two pieces of fruit a day. I'm a rebel and eat three or four. I figure, whatever! I'm not going over on my calories, and it's a much better alternative to the sweet things I COULD be consuming, so I'm not going to stress about it. Fruit, fruit,…

I ate a piece of apple crisp with my bare hands like a gorilla. Not going to lie. All looking around guiltily and snorting. It was incredible. No regrets, either. I logged it. It fit into my calories for the day. I crushed it in my workout. I savored every finger-licking second. ;)

That's what really drew me to the meal plan, too. I like the simplicity of it, though try as I might I still can't seem to find information on caloric intake recommended. I go with 1650+ half my exercise calories, and it works well. I do try to eat at the recommended 40/40/20, but I'm not super strict about it. As long as…

When I can get to a computer, I'll post a progress pic. I've lost..... (drumroll...) about two pounds so far, and I'm on my sixth week! Sounds low, right? What's interesting is that I look like I've lost fifteen to twenty pounds. Goes to show you can't just rely on a scale to see results... Measurements and pictures are…

I'd have to agree with everyone else. That said, after weighing myself this morning, I'm at 156. That's 5.2 pounds heavier than I was two months ago. That said, I know for a fact that I haven't gained fast because I have the measurements and progress pics to prove it. I'd really recommend tracking measurements and taking…

I'd say yeah, definitely. For example, I saw my sister today for the first time in months. She lives in another province and I've lost a ton of weight since I last saw her, and a LOT of inches (through lifting weights). She's close to two hundred pounds and miserable. She made a point of not saying anything about my…

I eat about half, but that's largely because I cannot eat more than that. My target is 1650 per day and I'm eating at 40/40/20, so the protein is super filling. Half my exercise calories brings me to about 1900 (or more) per day, and when you're eating mostly nutritious foods, those calories stretch pretty far. When I was…

Hey there! I'm just starting week 6 of the LiveFit program, and having some great results!! I'd say the meal plan is great, and I love the recipes. The one thing I've really struggled with is knowing how many calories to consume, since I can't seem to find anything that touches on it. I'm aiming for 40/40/20 with this…

"Move on"? Right. Such a typical conspiracy-theory response. "If the evidence runs contrary to what I want to believe, it is obviously because the deck is stacked and everyone is bribed and data has been falsified." Follow it with smug hand-waving because... Reasons.

That's some pretty selective quoting there. You got the "as soon as" and not the "I want to". Interesting. As in, as soon as I hear it, that's how I want to respond. Wanting to in no way implies action; to the contrary, it shows that I don't allow every thought that crosses my mind to pass my lips. If someone uses their…
