Honey, you sound like you are depressed and while your meds are possibly keeping you from being suicidally miserable, they are not allowing you to be HAPPY. There's a difference. I was diagnosed with depression and was on one group of meds for three years and while it blunted the pain, I wasn't myself. I finally talked to…

You know, I like your style. What is going to help you the best I think is habits. Make a few healthy things a priority and absolutely commit to them. Eating healthy meals of appropriate portion sizes, logging everything, and your activity. Make that happen every day, no matter what. If you binge eat, chart it. It will…

I started at 347.2 and have a similar goal. I haven't really lost much the last two months myself, but I've maintained and hopefully have gotten through that. Add me if you like.

Worst? Probably the drunk guy who came up to me in college and asked "Wanna f***?" I looked horrified and said "No!" and then he said "Why not? I've got a big d***." I laughed and said "No, honey, you ARE a big d***. There's a difference."

EW! That's pretty graphic. Sorry. What is with people being all tacky and gross?
-
I'm 46. 40 lbs left to reach my goal weight. Add me if you like. :)

Also, another thought. Your diary isn't open, so I can't see what you're eating routinely, but how is your intake? If you're working at the intensity you think you are, and you're as slender as you appear in your profile picture, you shouldn't be having a huge deficit. You need to fuel that kind of work, and if you're…

As a former cardiac nurse, I can tell you this: If your heart rate was actually at 200 bpm for any length of time you would have felt light headed, dizzy, somewhat nauseous, and essentially like death warmed over. Unless you are EXTREMELY fit, that is. Even if you are already extremely fit with loads of aerobic…

I have so much fear bound up with body issues and eating and emotional stuff. I don't push past it. I find out what I'm afraid of and deal with it.
-
Not enough data to determine.
-
Pffft. Like that's a huge sacrifice for him.
-
Gotta say I agree with this one.

Don't cut them. Seriously. You can do yourself some metabolic damage that way. I ate all mine. When MFP cut me down to a lower amount, I changed my goal to lose less per week and upped my exercise. I have lost 158 lbs eating around 1600 calories most of the time. If you aren't working out, I encourage you start. Just…

I have about that much left to go. I'm in.
-
Nah. I think that way leads to burnout. Stick with the weights and eat at a deficit. It will happen. Edit "that way" = "ditch the weights and stick to cardio" Sorry, I didn't do the quote thingy right.
-
I'm 46, and honestly? I am finding it easier to lose in my 40s than at any time before in my life. What little my metabolism may have slowed down is vastly outweighed by the fact that I'm no longer a bloomin' IDIOT like I was when I was in my 20s. (No offense intended to anyone who's in their 20s and not a bloomin' idiot.)…

I had my body fat measured, and then figured what I would weigh if I could train hard, keep all my lean mass, and lost enough to be at 20% body fat. That gives me a goal of 145. I'm 5'2". I'm 188 lbs now wearing a size 12.

Motivation is overrated. Being "motivated" is just an emotional state that makes it easier to do what you know needs doing. Discipline is the key. Habits build discipline. If you're eating for emotional reasons, address the underlying emotions. If you are just slacking off because you lack discipline, do the mental work…

Bacon AND ice cream is apparently now a thing. With caramel.

Dude, who the heck accepts FB friend requests without knowing the person? Man, I'm pickier there than I am here.

Calories in / calories out is most of it for me. There are some things: diet soda, pizza, loads of salt, etc. that will make me bloat up and retain water like crazy, masking any loss. Your mileage may vary. Thankfully, really good dark chocolate (72% cocoa content minimum) is not one of those things. Now, eating lower…

I use all my alone time for working out now. (Mom of two, not much alone time.)
-
Neither. I want to look like a woman who strength trains.
-
I can attest to the efficacy of this approach.

Ice cream is pretty easy. Scoop clean snow into bowl, drizzle with half and half, then some chocolate syrup and stir. It's not really that great, but at least once a season it's kinda fun.
-
While you may "still be fat", they're still *kitten*. I know which one I'd rather be, and I suspect you'll finish your transformation before they even start theirs.
-
My goal is 200 lbs to lose as well. Feel free to add me. My diary is open. I make progress, and I screw up and I keep on trying. That's the way it goes.

My main tumblr was supposed to be for my farm. It's yggdrasilfarms.tumblr.com/. It somehow morphed into a Paul McGann appreciation blog with chickens though. I don't know how that happened. My fitblr is actionfiguremini.tumblr.com/. Welcome. Oh, um, edit to add: I use very bad language.

It depends on where you're starting. I lost 50 lbs my first three months following MFP, but I started out at 347. Now I'm losing between 8 - 10 lbs per month.
