They aren't going to be sweet, but they do taste of cocoa. My favorite is Sam Adam's Chocolate Bock. Young's Double Chocolate Stout is pretty good, especially mixed half and half with hard cider.. Rogue Ale makes a decent Chocolate Stout. If you want booze that tastes like chocolate, you're going about it wrong. Chocovine…

Well, if you're eating enough calories, and your food is well balanced, and you've just started out, give your body time to adjust. I was super hungry for a week or so when I went from eating all the things to tracking and paying attention. But, I'd gone from binging at around 4,000 calories a day to following MFP's…

It doesn't seem hard to me most days. However, there are days when you just don't wanna. Fighting that is the hard part.

I was pretty big for most of my life really. Always "lucky" enough to escape the metabolic fallout. I had perfect blood pressure and blood sugar, low cholesterol even at my high weight of 347 lbs. In 2012 I hurt my knee and it wasn't getting better. The surgeon I saw was a real jerk. He said it was "just arthritis" and…

How do I not know who this fabulous human is? But before I throw caution to the wind and all, I'm going to stick with my original celeb crush and say Paul McGann. (Now off to unfaithfully google this other dude.)

Pleased to meet you! I big pink sparkley heart BFA. I always have to watch myself because while I do like Rose, I keep thinking to myself "Well, yeah, she's nice, but she's no Charley."

Not douchey at all. Although, to be fair, Eccleston has behaved kind of douchey toward the show and the fandom, but you'll learn that later. Still, Nine is one of my favorite Doctors ever. He was my favorite until the BFA audios and Eight stole my heart.

Oh hell no. Then when someone ticks you off you can suggest they go kiss Persephone and Isis. It's much more couth.

I'm good with that! :)

However your advice seems very pro-ANA. We are not here to counsel people into an eating disorder. In fact, loss of appetite is one of the KEY signs and symptoms of anorexia or a very low calorie diet. OP, I've lost the majority of my 150 lbs while eating 1500 - 1800 calories per day. I'm 5'2", female, 46 years old,…

There's your problem. Estimation in a cafeteria is a bloody nightmare. Get yourself a digital scale. Weigh your food for two / three weeks or so. I bet you will get a huge education about portions. If not, then what have you lost? Two weeks? Also, you probably will have better luck if you make your own food and bring it…

I have a standard poodle. She goes running, hiking, and kayaking with me, but she's not trained to run beside the bike yet.

This is the best info on this thread, I think. Pick a number. Eat that number, accurately, for two weeks. Did you lose, gain, or stay the same? Adjust from there.

Sorry, it's not Easter. It's still Lent. Not only that, it's a fast day.

The average is 75 calories per mile walked, 100 per mile running. Heavier people will burn more. People who have done lots of cardio and are super efficient will burn less. I'm right around those numbers per my HRM.

Her favorite color is blue.

That would make a big difference probably, if people knew that.

Tons of people follow that diet. They just say "I don't eat red meat" and leave it at that. Sure you "could" be eating ostrich and that's "red" but not Mammilian, but I think people just don't use those labels.
-
I think when you say "I would never starve myself" and people look at your diary and see you taking in 700 calories a day, they don't believe you. That would be my guess, anyway.

No, absolutely not. Your body is yours. He loves you, or he does not, he does not get to dictate to you what you weigh. He's a control freak and an *kitten*, imho.

I didn't show one for months because I couldn't figure out how to do it.

It sounds like you ARE exercising, Babe. You can lose weight with diet alone. However, as others have probably mentioned, there are many, many advantages to exercising: avoidance of plateaus, greater health benefits, looking better, etc. etc. etc.

"Starting your metabolism" is a simplistic way of talking about the incredibly complex interplay between the hormonally regulated anabolic and catabolic states in the human body. While overall it's your calorie intake that determines whether you lose, maintain, or gain fat stores, if you want to fine tune the process then…

Holy crap. I was thinking of making meal plans for people and offering support (I'm an RN, working on my personal training and sports nutrition certs) and I was only going to charge $100 a month and people would get four weeks worth of different menus, plus exercise and skype sessions. Maybe I'm naive, but I think you got…
