I decided to put down 200 calories for 20 min (level 1)...because my HRM estimates 300-320, which I think is inaccurate. So, I lowball it and put 200. I created the exercise manually to log it...

for me: pretty dang hard! I have to do the modified push ups...and I am terrible at doing that :grumble: ...I will eventually get better, I'm sure...

1) more energy 2) more confidence 3) smaller sized clothing 4) to look drop dead gorgeous in my wedding dress (when I buy one in August/September) 5) to not have to worry about weight limits! (for certain activities, like horseback riding) 6) to be an inspiration to friends and family who want to lose weight & get healthy

This is very true...He does bball once a week for an hour, and I keep telling him that it is better than nothing, but it isn't really being "active" like his doctor recommended...maybe one day he will want to do something...I can only hope.

I wish I could say the same...my fiance refuses to change...at least anytime soon...I don't want him to totally change, as I love him the way he is, but I tell him that it is more of a health concern that I have for him, that I want him to live a long life, especially when we have kids...he doesn't eat any vegetables…

Hi!!! I just got engaged in September, with a wedding date of 9/29/12... I am trying to lose 50+ pounds before I go dress shopping in Aug/Sept 2011... I have been on the site for almost a month now...it hasn't exactly been easy (as my fiance eats nothing healthy)...but I am trying hard to get where I want to be weight wise…

Thats awesome! I wish I could say the same...

I want to do this...but I just started using my hand weights yesterday, so not sure if I can do 3 days strength...although, Jillian Michaels 30D shred does both cardio and strength, so can I do a daily combo for my "Strength" days?

Yeah, working out definitely makes me feel good...and knowing that I have the will power to turn down all the holiday junk (cakes and cookies, etc.) feels good too...
-
Mainly, the elliptical...really kicks my butt, and for my time, i get the biggest calorie burn compared to other activities
-
Thanks :) I definately love it so far! I love reading all the success posts...

We were ALWAYS outside too! I didn't even have barely any toys to play with (I can't even think of one toy that I had back then), I had to make a dandelion necklace or a clover bracelet...run with the chickens, geese, and dog...it was still fun though. I was on the thinner side until middle school pretty much...

I really need suggestions in that area too...as it is hard to lose there... :ohwell:
-
I def need to try running...I can do the elliptical for an hour, burn 750+ calories, but I can't run for shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I think its because my legs feel so much heavier when I jog/run versus when I am on the elliptical...must just be a mental thing.
-
wow...!!!! You look amazing! Way to ROCK IT! :)
-
Bob- Many people on here have probably felt the same way at one point or another...the important thing is that we all decided to make a life change, and commit to it! That is the biggest challenge, aside from sticking to it... I have only been on this site for 3 weeks, and I love it! I love reading the inspiring success…

Take a short nap, then try working out...maybe not as long of a workout as you usually do, but if you are up for it, something is better than nothing. When I am exhausted (like this morning), I still try to exercise, but take it a little easier (don't go as fast on elliptical, etc.) Maybe take a walk outside or on a…

I am very much so like my 85 year old grandmother who is freezing even in the summer, so I wouldn't last a night sleeping on the streets... I am blessed for so many reasons, I can't even count how many... I am thankful for my family, fiance, health (thats a BIG one!), job, friends, having a roof over my head and food in my…
