  • Weighing it before and after is the best way to go. In a pinch, a pretty good rule of thumb is that cooked pasta will weigh twice as much as it did uncooked. This varies somewhat by brand, texture, etc.
  • I'm pretty sure there's zero science behind any of these "detox" systems. People starve themselves, lose some weight, and (in some instances) feel better, so they think it works. Check out this article: http://www.webmd.com/diet/features/detox-diets-purging-myths
  • Also a dude. I just joined yesterday. I really like the features this site offers, but I'm a little worried one of my co-workers is going to notice the leaping lady logo on my iPhone app.
