Excellent challenge as I’m going on holiday to Gran Canaria for the week that includes Hallowe’en! Challenge start weight: 8 stone 11lb Challenge goal weight: 8 stone 4lb

I could have written your post myself! I haven't been on this forum for a while, but I do follow a (UK) Facebook LCHF group, but I don't find that as useful. So tonight I thought I'd come back on here to get back on the straight and narrow. Meal wise, I'm ok, it's snacks and having sweet stuff around for my little one is a…

I don't count anything as for me this is a lifestyle not a diet. I only counted one day a few weeks back just to check my carb intake for an average day. Now I just make low carb choices. If one day I do eat something I shouldn't I don't stress, I just start again the next day. When I lost weight counting calories a couple…

I had a Fitbit emergency yesterday. On the way home from the school run I patted my belt and realised my Fitbit wasn't there. I thought back to when I last had it - dressing gown. Where was that now? Going round in the washing machine! Unfortunately, the washing machine won that battle

Is it mad that I've just been walking round my living room to get the extra 500 steps I need for today? Achieved 10018 and now off to bed. Only 18 active minutes according to Fitbit, not sure how active I have to be to log more.

Going to bed soon (I think I'm quite a few hours ahead of most people on here) and I'm at 133308 so I'm over target and a great start to my Fitbit week!

It's not a problem. I had great success last summer/autumn then stopped over the winter. I view that time as being in the past and I can't change it now. So I take each day individually, if I eat a whole Easter chocolate bunny in one go (last week) then I log it and start again then next day. Some days are better than…

Just back from a 3.66 mile walk around the footpaths in my village. It took 2.5 hours at a leisurely pace with my 7 year old, stopping here and there to get some geocaches along the way. I'm at 10800 for today, but I expect the rest of the day to be quite leisurely. Today is certainly becoming a great Sunday, jm216!

So it's nice a sunny, if not particularly warm, here is SE England today so I'm going to have another nice walk later on. You may be interested in signing up to www.bounts.it which is a reward site that links to Fitbit (and various other devices/apps) and gives you points for exercise taken. For Fitbit you need to do 7000…

Can I join too? I got a Fitbit zip for Christmas and have used it everyday. I'm determined to get as many steps in as possible so I put it on my pyjamas each night so I don't lose any first thing! Today I've done 11224 which included a nice 45 minute walk round my village as I realised I was low on steps.

I expect it is just water retention. I went away last weekend for a spa break and ate more than usual, but not loads, just different foods. I came two days later and weighed 4 pounds more. However I've been back 4 days now and I'm back to where I was, so don't worry. I'm actually going on holiday in 10 days time to Gran…

I just sent my request. I've just reached 101 days streak which is so much better than I ever thought I'd achieve. Nothing else apart from MFP has ever worked so well for me. I've got about 14/15lb to go (1 stone in UK measurements). I love the thought of ladies all over the world cheering each other on!

I'm also a 1200 person (well 1230 as per MFP to be exact) and I've seen a few of these types of threads and the great advice they give. It also concerned me that maybe 1200 wasn't enough. So, I put my accurate figures into the scooby website suggested, and the output was still similar (1287), so in some cases it is not far…

My favourite song on my gym playlist at the moment is Mr Bluesky by ELO, not a traditional gym choice, but it's a great pace.

Could you share your height and current weight, and if you're comfortable, maybe make your food diary public? How have you set your exercise? Lightly active etc? If you could give us an idea of your average daily routine in terms of job, exercise etc. we may be able to assess whether 1500 seems ok. I've found that MFP is…

As I tend to be hungriest later in the day, especially if it is a working day, I try to have breakfast, lunch and tea as late as possible to put off these hunger pangs. I've found that the more I read or hear about nutrition and fitness the more confusing information I get, so I've decided to try and keep it simple and…

I've just bought a pair of Sloggi basic long briefs in nude for this exact reason. Very comfy and not at all hot, even in this heat. I tried deodorant but it wore off after a short while, as did talc. If only I could just slim down my thunder thighs!

Hi, I got my hubby to measure me last night, a little under 5' - always thought I was more. I'm 41 and trying to get red of the wobbly bits via MFP and exercise. Last month I was 140lb and this morning I'm 135lb. Feel free to add me as a friend - nice to 'meet' you all
-
Hi, I'm 5' and currently weight 136lb. My sw was 140lb. My first aim is 125lb and then 110lb. However I don't want to lose weight at the expense of muscle, so I'm making sure I go to the gym/swim/do a class/use xbox fitness regularly to maintain muscle and hopefully just lose fat (thighs, tum please!). As a result I'm also…

Hi, I just got my own gold membership today, previously I'd done Jillian's ripped in 30 as a guest on my husbands account. After reading this thread I completed Mossa Fight 1 - completely beetroot red faced afterwards and felt brilliant! My aim is to do insanity one day. Does anyone know if you can do Mossa power with only…

I'm trying this cauliflower based pizza tonight, it's from a US site, so I'll have to convert the cups to grams. http://detoxinista.com/2012/01/the-secret-to-perfect-cauliflower-pizza-crust/ I'm not sure what the calories will be, but it will be a lot less than a supermarket pizza. Good luck and I'll be watching replies…
