I did my 2nd day of the C25K program and did 30 sit-ups.

i have been doing leg presses on our weight machine to strengthen my legs and knees. Also was doing an occasional walk/jog at the park on the days I did not do the shred

No, I did not do it every day--usually 2 or 3 days in a row and then rest 1 day-- especially after doing level 2. That level was the most strenuous. I would do rest 2 days at the beginning of level 2 and then it became easier and I just rested 1 day after 2-3 days. Level 3 is not as bad as level 2, btw!

maybe I will try that next instead of her Extreme Shred

I am the very same way! Any time I feel myself getting down, I just look in at the successes here and it inspires me soooooo much to keep on going! Thanks to everyone who posts their successes-- it means so much to the rest of us trudging along! :drinker:

I also recently completed the 30 day shred with 9" lost! I was so stoked about my results! However, I have started the C25K program 3 days a week and am starting the Extreme Shred next. This one is 45 minutes each workout.

If you find it hard to stay within your calories-- start with baby steps. Just for today and tomorrow, drink 8 cups of water and then the next 2 days, eat 1 less piece of bread or roll. This is called easing yourself into your goals! If it takes you 3 weeks to finally eat at your given calories-- then you have just done an…

My motto is anything is good as long as you eat it in moderation and stay at or a little under your calories. You are picking out a good healthy bread to eat.

I have been getting in shape with Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I bought the video for 10 bucks, but a lot of people here said you can follow the program for free on YouTube. I guess there are a lot of work outs on you tube.

My husband quit years ago on the patch. He has not smoked since. Also, my sister, my mom, and father-in-law all were successful with the patch and never started again. Good luck to you!

good for you for finishing your first 5K! Who cares what your time was! Lol!

Your post came at a perfect time for me! I am finishing up the 30 day shred by early next week and the C25K is going to be my next work out. I have also been doing leg presses on our machine to get my legs stronger. Also I have been walking/ jogging all fall except the jogging exhausts me. So that is why I thought the C25K…

I am on level 3, day 2 today, and I have been using 6.6 pound weights all the way through the program. Just as level 2 is a lot of strength, level 3 is a lot of abs. Good luck everyone!

I am 54 and have lost a total of 16 pounds since September 1, 2012. I know that does not sound like a lot, but I am a notoriously slow loser. For exercise I am walking/jogging and doing the 30 day shred. I do this 5-6 days a week I do get discouraged sometimes when I see how fast some others lose; but then I realize that…
