It'd be fine to go if you can get in early in the morning after having breakfast before 7, or if you can go as close to 5:30 as possible. Otherwise you risk overexerting yourself when your body has nothing to run on except water.

If your profile is set as sedentary, I would definitely write in the walking if it's that much. If you ever change it to lightly active though, I'd skip it and only keep track of what is out of your normal routine. Good luck!

Yay! This is a GREAT site, with so many friendly and encouraging people. And as you've already figured out-- it's just knowing in the back of your head that you have a solid number you can't go over for calories that really helps. Good luck in you journey!!
