My knee hurts the most after jogging. I am doing C25K. As much as I love it, I think I'm going to have to give it up for awhile. My knee feels hot with a dull, aching pain that can last a couple days intermittently. I do have a knee brace that helps slightly. I also starting taking Glucosamine Chondroitin but haven't been…

It sounds like chondromalacia patella disorder. IT is common in people that are involved in high impact activities. I have it in my rt knee. I went to an orthopedic doctor and was diagnosed with it. He suggest physical therapy which I have not started. Does your knee click?

Im relearning my relationship with food. It has been a very bad, unhealthy relationship that I have let control me, disregard my health, and self confidence. Do cheat meals make me happy? No. I dont want to reward myself with the very things that have gotten me to this point. If im going to have a treat these days, it will…

i can't believe you feel silly for posting this! You look spectacular! :flowerforyou:

My roommie treated me to lunch. I love burgers and fries. I got a big salad with an unsweetened tea. I ate 1/4 of the salad and took the rest home. the salad was probably about 500 calories for a huge plate.

I drink a few a week. I'm going to go without any this week to see if i can tell a difference. I haven't noticed any difference with weight loss although my weight has been coming off slowly... I will give it a go!

There is nothing beneficial about diet sodas. Oh, and the phosphoric acid does erode tooth enamel and flush out more calcium in urine. I have an occasional diet soda but I'm trying to quit. Water is a great substitute!!!

I would think drinking large amounts of caffeinated unsweetened iced tea would be dehydrating if the OP is drinking the tea in place of water. I personally can tell when I drink too much caffeine. It definitely doesn't hydrate me. Sometimes I feel thirstier!
-
I'm really not sure. I don't count drinking coffee as water even though it is mostly H20 just because it isn't hydrating. Plain ol water is beneficial :)
-
tea can be dehydrating. When you urinate, is it clearish or yellow? That could be an indicator whether you should drink more water.

Yep. Single and I'm okay with it. :D Valentine's day is such a silly, commercial holiday.

You sound like an active person. Why not try increasing your calories to 1800 per day for a week or two and eat back your exercise calories. See if this helps jump start your weight loss. It is worth a try since you haven't seen any results lately.

I rarely burn anything less than 400 on the days when I exercise when I jog/walk on incline/elliptical/arc trainer. It is very easy. I have a hrm so it challenges me to keep going. I haven't always eaten them back but I think it has caused my weight loss to stall. I plan on eating them back.

I am working on the 6 meals now and I am definitely going to drink some hot tea at nights. I also could use the extra sleep. Great advice everyone!

I weigh 179 at 5'5. i lost 17lbs and several inches. My size 16 pants are much looser. My size 14 pants are a bit looser. I lost a lot of weight from my hips and butt. I have plenty of weight still left in my stomach. I think that is why I haven't dropped down to a size 12.

Thank you for all your replies.

When i started this journey, I was doing 1200 calories. Ugh! That didn't last long, but surprisingly, I wasn't hungry like I am now. I recently increased my calories up to 1800 and do try to eat protein for each meal with "good fat." I could probably drink more water and fill up on more veggies. My hunger normally hits me…

I am going to start drinking more green tea. I try to avoid processed foods but pizza is my weakness.. ahhh!! lol

Polar FT4 is the lowest priced model that does a damn good job. Love it! It calculates your calories burned and it is very easy to use.
-
you exercise 3-4 hours a day and burn 1000 calories per hour? Um.
-
I have cheat days. I'm thinking that I may need to cut them out until special occasions. My once-a-week cheat day consists of pizza and soda, but I usually have leftovers. One cheat day spills over to the next...

Amazing!

I'm surprised this thread hasn't gotten more responses!

I can burn a ton of calories on the Arc trainer in just 20 minutes. I set the level high and just go. I have a Polar Ft4.

I agree with you, Taso! Does it matter? Some of my friends will have high numbers and usually these are the ppl that are 200+ with a reliable Hrm. Good for them! They are pushing themselves harder for longer periods of time! :glasses:

Yep. I would love to lose 20lbs by April 30th. :D

Oh boy....I can think of a few things that have been in my mouth...Like some almonds!

I haven't lost a substancial amount of weight, BUT it took me about a month to see 3lbs come off. I did my measurements and had def lost inches, more than 3!
