  • Okay, I will start logging my veggies. Do you think I'm eating enough or should I be eating more? Every TDEE calculator that I'm looking at right now says I'm barely eating above my BMR?
  • lrmall01- You're probably right about the protein, I don't think I do eat enough of that. I actually do eat a lot of veggies, I don't log them because they are usually 0 calories and I'm too lazy to add them. I know, I know...
  • I'm 27, I'm 5'8" and weigh 199.1 lbs. My BMR is set from lightly active 1-3 hours a week and it's shown to be 1707, and my TDEE is 2348, which I eat 1763. I do change things up, I have a cheat meal about once or twice a week, but I don't go crazy over. I opened my diary now, I forgot to make it public for this. Also…
  • Sorry, I misspoke, I am using 20% of my TDEE. I have lost and gained a pound every week since I lost that first week, so I keep bobbing back in forth.
  • - Yes, my thyroid is normal. - I have Crohn's Disease, but that doesn't really affect my metabolism. - My measurements have changed slightly, like minus 0.5 inch. - Yes, I use measuring cups and I have a digital weight scale to measure food. I just don't get it.
  • Congratulations! You look awesome!
  • It tells you how much you are burning as you are doing it, based on your weight, height, and heart rate. I bought mine off of amazon and I believe it was $60. I wear one with the chest strap so it's continuous. Mine is a polar but I'm not sure what number it is.
  • I was tired of guessing how many calories I was burning so I just bought a HRM, so i could be accurate as possible. Each exercise varies from each person's height, weight, and heart rate. It's a really good investment.
  • I really like it. I believe I'm on day 4. It's a hard workout, but it's so short that I can fit it in during a time crunch.
  • It's very intense, but doable. I did my first one in '11 and I will definitely do another one. I didn't do it for time, I did it just to finish. The obstacles are tough and the course that I did was basically 3 miles of straight up hill trail running. I got bruised, banged up, and very sore, but I was so proud to complete…
  • There is a certain technique to rowing correctly to get the optimal benefits. I would youtube the correct way to do it, because when I first started rowing on the river, I used my arms more so than my legs which is actually tthe opposite of what you want to do. The power is in your legs. It is a full body workout, but it…
  • That's awesome! It's inspiring... My brother is actually doing it and he is on his third day. He says it was harder than when he got off drugs!
  • I have a polar ft7 that I love love love, it was $80 w/ free shipping on Ebay. That would be $20 extra, but soooo worth it!
  • I've actually had more lucky with MFP. I tried the new points system for about 3 months, but I didn't care for it at all so I canceled it. One week I even gained 3 pounds, it was just very frustrating. I was trying so hard and I had nothing to show for it. MFP is a much better plan for me... plus it's free. :)
