Thanks for all the replies. I know I want to keep them, they are beneficial for sure. I guess to be more specific my question was more a matter of do people "groom" them? Do you find a point of no return where you could say at 3mm thick they crack and I file to maintain that thickness without eliminating them.

I will never understand people complaining about the rules of an organization that they voluntarily sign up for. They could ban all Nike and new balance shoes and still be in the right.

Had a polar and really liked it, now I have a suunto and it's the greatest thing I own! The chest strap is not the hard plastic one polar uses, although I think they have a second option now. It's soft elastic cloth and you would never know its there. You would pay a premium for the suunto but love it's menus and computer…

I have to agree with everything! If I had to choose one, it would be my eggs.

Work with and have lived with spinal injuries. Herniated or ruptured will need surgery, typically a diskectomy. I have bulging L4-5 disks and series of three injections have been the best for me, over 8 years ago and counting. Had one flare up a few years back and oral steroids did the trick. I am more active now than…

Bought this one a few years ago. http://www.amazon.com/Uplift-Technologies-DL930-Day-Light-Affective/dp/B0009MFUWC/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1349708966&sr=8-9&keywords=Light+therapy Seems like you can find it cheaper, I know I did not pay that much. Absolutely love it! It is rediculously bright, took about a week to get used…

Best: nursing on the floor with patients and my team Worst: nursing on the floor with no team and large population of critical patients. All the while management pulling us aside to talk about achieving credentialing goals for next weeks visit of the day. I had some great years in nursing, loved it dearly. Sadly today's…

Hard to say. I log it as circuit training mostly but use a HRM as each day is different. I am 33 6'1" and 195lbs. My typical burn in a 50 minute sessions is right around 650.

This has nothing to do with juice. You could just as easily and with the same result do a free range chicken fast for 30 days. There is no magic in the fruits and veggies that exert an effect on the physiology of your body. If anybody who was overweight, sedentary and ate processed poor nutrient diet went on a chicken fast…

Just sign up and do it! I met a guy in his 30's during my last tough mudder at mt snow who lost 300 pounds!! He still weighed a good 350 and finished the event. The mt snow one is a ski resort, lots and lots of climbing over 11 miles. You never know what you can do or want to work on until you dive right in. Everybody at…

I am in love with my lifeproof case and armband for the iPhone. The phone clicks in and out of armband so you can use it. No messing around with trying to pull it out of a tight sleeve or pouch on the arm. Also has a little pouch to hold excess headphone cord. On the pricey side but phone is waterproof and bombproof, I use…

Scion has not been around that long. Toyota has a real good paint warranty of some sort. Old friends Camry received a whole new paint job around the 6 year mark. Other than that, get a new hood from junkyard. New paint will never match if the rest of the body is as aged.

Audition. Really good movie that really never shows you anything. Definitely edge of seat.

I switched from android to the iPhone when sprint got it and love it. My wife just upgraded to the galaxy three. I considered switching back because it is a very nice phone. Unfortunately android os is garbage, constantly crashing, eating battery life and just not quick to use. I customize everything and am tech savy but…

Suunto ambit combined with movescount.com = best purchase for fitness ever. About $500 but worth every penny. Logs everything and downloads to computer for a great analysis tool.

Just sold my evo on eBay for $60. I would look there, lots to choose from. Good luck!

The polar ones work well, had one for a while. Switched to suunto a few years back and will never look back. You will pay a little more but the chest strap is so much more comfortable, the menu is far batter and they look and feel a million times better. I can wear it out and not feel like I'm wearing a heart rate monitor.…

Everyday, multiple times a day but officially on Sunday's. I like to see the tiny fluctuations so that I can really see the difference all foods make, whether it be high sodium or not. Over the course of time I can see which foods effect me most and have been able to modify as needed for great success. The scale is a great…

Everyone loves Polar, I did too until I discovered Suunto. I feel all around it is a superior HRM, across all their lines. From ease of use to cosmetics. I wear mine swimming and have done so for over a year. The FT7 was nice and there is certainly nothing wrong with it, I just prefer the Suunto. The chest strap is also…

Saw your response to creatine. You will 100% positively not lose weight using that, you will gain. It pours fluid to muscles for recovery. It certainly works I believe for strength gains which in turn may help you burn more calories but the effects are only as long as you progress in weight and use supplement. If you are…

I've had polar and suunto hrm's. I prefer the suunto for many reasons, including better chest strap design, accuracy and menu function. Sure they can be pricey but a good one is so worth it. I use mine every day.
