  • Only personal experience but I can hold a high plank on my palms much longer than a low plank on forearms. My guess is that it's easier to cheat yourself in a high plank. My trainer usually has to correct my form, as my butts to high or sometimes to low. On a low plank, my abs feel much more engaged.
  • I've said it on here a million times. Lol. The Suunto ambit is amazing!! Everything you would ever need and looks great at the same time. The website it integrates with is near flawless, it's called movescount. My wife uses a garmin and it also works great, website is a little less refined but totally functional. But yeah,…
  • Gives me crazy kidney stones! Ugh. I actually liked the taste though.
  • Yeah albuterol would help! Speeds things up for sure. Many times people on an inhaler are also on a steroid. I wouldn't be surprised if they were also taking an oral steroid for pulmonary issues.
  • Grip strength! That has been such a huge difference maker for myself and friends I convince to join me. Farmers carry and I love carrying weight plates with a pinch grip. It helps with every obstacle.
  • Sorry, have to play devils advocate here. "Polar is the best" it was not at all accurate and the other one crapped out after two weeks. Lol. I swim and complete mud runs in my Suunto. No signs of slowing down yet.
  • Polar is great, works as advertised. Garmin I thought was a little better and Sunnto is hands down the best. I own them all and really just depends on what you want and are willing to spend. It's kinda like comparing a timex to Swiss chronometer. Sure, they both do a good job keeping time.
  • They are pretty cool. I have been testing a watt bike and love it. Not sure the price differences. I think the watt bike is something like 2500. For that price I may just buy a decent road bike and a high quality home stand for stationary use. In the end all three will get your legs moving I guess.
  • Formulx when I can get it. A bit pricey but I love it. ON vanilla on other days.
  • I second the dansko clogs with full heel. They are intended to fit a bit long so heel lifts while walking. The best part is while standing you can lift foot and let them breath. Love my dansko's.
  • I actually love the taste and makes me feel warm. Haha. As far as weight loss no, it's about calorie deficits. Word of caution, it gives me kidney stones 100% of the time i ever used it!! Something about calcium oxalate.
  • Every minute on the minute for 15 minutes- 2 hang squat cleans and 1 split jerk. after that was 100 double under jump ropes, 150 wall balls 500m run.
  • Polar HRM is good, nothing wrong with them for the price. I have used them in the past. In my opinion nothing compares to Suunto. I am currently using the ambit and will never go back. The ease of use and computer connectivity is just awesome. I have presets for running, hiking, crossfit, cycling and about ten other…
  • Impossible to tell, I have had and seen breaks/sprains that defy conventional wisdom. I broke my ankle around the growth plate and you would never have known. No bruising or swelling. If it is a fracture you really want it to heal correctly, I would get X-ray ASAP.
  • They make a spray that I used playing basketball. Can't recall right now what it's called but saw it recently at a big box sporting goods store. You will stick like glue and as far as I can tell leaves no residue. Court grip
  • The question is best HRM. I have owned them all just about and every model from Suunto wins with me hands down. Currently using the ambit which encompasses every feature known to man basically. Super easy to use, awesome web site to track and share, as well as adjust settings easily. Some of the brands less capable HRM…
  • Tons of fun Success and rewarding gains everyday Variety Friendships and motivation to better yourself I am biased, I love it. Moved to a new city and joined a box. Now I have new friends and something I love to do. I have dropped a bunch of weight and gained much strength. The gym was fine but monotonous. I like the group…
  • Bump up for more great info the people want!
  • Original Zelda Ocarina of time Double dragon ties with contra.
  • Yes to the magnesium, very true. Thanks for that reminder.
  • Low D is miserable! I was at an 8 a few years back in the northeast. D-3 is not the same as the high dose stuff, you need to build up to a level greater than 40 before the body starts to store it. I was on 50k/week to start and then was able to transition to OTC d3 once levels were sufficient. My only word of advice is to…
  • The Larousse Gastronomique will be the last one you ever buy! Part encyclopedia, part recipes. You will see every technique and classic recipe from around the globe. I love just sitting back and reading it like a novel.
  • It's all done as a team of 30 so you all work together. It would be nice to go with a buddy, but its not a traditional event with a start and finish line. The cadre or leader basically just punishes the 30 of you until he feels we've all had enough!!
  • Doing my first one in March! Very excited. I got a few spartan beasts and tough mudders behind me before I dared sign up for this. Packed my bricks up two weeks ago, love the GR1!! I have a ton of packs and this is a thing of beauty, really consider investing in one. For whatever reason they hold the weight just right.…
  • well this fell flat
  • I don't typically use them but when I do, I prefer regular batting gloves. They will not effect your grip and offer all the protection you need. Many weight lifting gloves have extra padding that alter your grip. Slipping and friction will cause callous formation and batting gloves prevent this.
  • Bought a top of the line elliptical and had more of a workout getting it into to house, front wheel weighs a ton. It's a great machine that I tired of quickly. I prefer diversity and a challenge. It was great at drying my wife's sweaters for a while, before we gave it away. If I needed cardio equipment In home, it would…
  • I have seconds pro on my iPhone and its great. You can set up any duration you want. Play without headphones or with, even beeps over music if you want it to. Forget how much I spent on it, maybe 2.99. Well worth it in my opinion.
  • The best? In my opinion it's any of the suunto line. I have had a td6 and love it, upgraded to the ambit and will never go back. Awesome menus, they all upload to computer and they look like a watch, not a monitor. For the money, I have also had a polar and they are nice. They function good and are a good buy. You just…
