I have a BodyMedia Fit and I love it. Keeps me on track.

I don't think I gained any real weight. Yesterday was a my first day back on track, I weighed in the morning and I was 1.9 lb up, but this morning, I am only up 0.4lb, and I think that is going to leave. I'm pretty sure it was all water weight from what I ate. Which is pretty damn good. I ate like crap for 4 days, but…

That is part of your lifestyle, not exercise. Put your activity level at moderately active or something. I work 10 hour shifts as an LVT (animal nurse) and I'm on my feet the whole time. So I have my activity level set as active.

I did WW, and I had more than 24 points when I was 100 ld over weight. Set your goal to 2 lb per week and eat that. You should be able to lose with that. I'm sure you'll get more. 1200 calories is to low. I ate solely 1200 calories for 8 months and messed up my metabolism and I'm still trying to fix it.

Your ticker in your profile says you have 100 pounds to lose. If that is true then I doubt MFP set you at 1200 calories, even if you set it to lose 2 lb per week. DId you manually set that?

Thank You everyone, and thanks to mrsway for fixing the pics in her quote!

Thank you. I kept seeing the term but really wasn't sure what it exactly was.

I love my BMF. I still use MFP to log food and then I put in a daily estimate (which is juts the calories you ate that day) because logging on MFP is so much easier and I've learned so much by reading the forums. My BMF tells me usually I've burned more than my HRM, usually during kickboxing. I don't think the HRM likes…

I totally understand, I've been eating so much garbage and then I just won't eat healthier things so I stay within my goal. I wish the holidays would be over so people stop bringing junk into work. I am fine when I'm home, since I have no junk in the house, but work I am awful. I seem to have no willpower right now.

I've really been thinking of getting this. The way people talk it sounds like a good workout. I'd incorporate it into my current routine though.
-
The only workout I've done that comes close to my actual calories burned is the elliptical and it is still off my like 40-50 calories.
-
I'd be worried about this. I saw you said you're burning 5000 calories and eating 1200 calories. If you're getting dizzy, you probably need more calories than that. Fast weight loss is not always better. You need to properly fuel your body. Edit to the poster above me. Muscle does not weigh more than fat and she is not…

Your body may be just adjusting to the increased calories. And 4 lb per week isn't really healthy. Relax and weigh again next week.
-
I would not count it. I'm sure your heart rate wasn't very high, nor were you sweating. If I went for a brisk walk to the store, I'd probably count that, but shopping, nope.

Totally agree with cardio kickboxing! I know when I've had days I get annoyed with everyone, I go to my kickboxing class and punch and kick and feel so much better. Though even just tearing up the elliptical can make me feel better too.

I'm liking these ideas. I'm definitely going to pack some healthy snacks in my luggage, this way if I get hungry I won't hit up a vending machine or grab junk. Definitely will bring my water bottle with me too. I'm used to drinking over a gallon of water a day. I'll try to eat a lot of chicken and stuff. Thanks! Anymore…

Anyone?

Odds are it's just water retention. I had food the other day that must've had a lot of sodium, because I was up 2 lb yesterday from the day before, so I've been chugging water to hopefully get it off before weigh in tomorrow. I was scared to step on the scale this morning, so I didn't with this morning.

Agreed one hundred percent! The same thing happened to me. I think people who say they gain if they eat more, just don't stick it out. They see a one week gain and say OMG I'm gaining, I have to drop back down. In fact it took me more than 4 weeks, but I was persistent since I'd been eating 1200 calories with burning over…

I had given them up for a while, but I've started drinking diet coke again. Though I don't like canned or bottled, it has to be fountain. Weird. But I have no problem with it, I'm trying no to have one everyday but maybe 4-5 times per week. I don't think it impedes my weight loss

While I did have some sugar yesterday. I decided to give myself a treat and ordered chicken parmesan for dinner, came with a salad and garlic knots oh and of course pasta. I ate maybe a third or less of the chicken and pasta (I did get whole wheat), and a little of the salad and 2 garlic knots. Well that meal must've been…

If you are burning sometimes 1000 calories, are you really only eating 1200? If so you need to eat more. If your body is that tired, it is telling you to eat more.
-
Ever since I've been losing weight, I too have been a lot colder. I think it is all the insulation I've lost...LOL
-
I do, but I know if it is up that it is probably just water retention and I don't get crazy over it.

I usually do an hour on the elliptical. For me the key is upbeat music. My iPod is a must. Also there are TV's on each one at my gym, and even though I am listening to my music I like to have it on and I usually put the closed captioning on sometimes, it keeps me distracted just looking at it. I also take like 40 second…

I understand that. I'm afraid of all the treats that will be coming into my job. But also I'm still afraid of January since I am going away for the weekend the second week of January and then the next weekend, I'll be going to a Vet conference. I'm looking forward to these events but scared of them as well. I'm wondering…

This happened to me one time and just replacing the batteries solved it. It was like whenever I stepped on it it said I was the same weight.
-
I'll probably try. Odds are most of it will be estimates though. Since I won't be weighing anything. Also probably will be completely screwed up since I may end up being awake 24 hours. I'm working the overnight shift at work that day. So we'll see how it goes.

For me it is sabotage. I lost 70 lb in 3 years on Jenny Craig, got bored, decided to take a week off. Well that week turned into never going back and 55 lb back on before I said WTF am I doing? Id be more about a cheat meal. And the time I did that I made myself burn enough calories to actually not go over. Kind of…
