  • I had really bad acne as a kid and was on accutane. Since then I really haven't had much of a problem until the past 6 months or so. My jaw line is breaking out like crazy. It's driving me nuts. I bought some stuff, but haven't started it yet. I'm thinking it is from sweating during my workouts.

  • I like the ideas and I'll probably just try zig zagging my calories. I recently added in biking (forgot to mention that) and like I said I started a bootcamp class. So maybe that will start to change things.
  • I'm stuck on this too. I have a BMF and I haven't been losing that well at the deficit I usually have which is usually over 1200. But to get this deficit lower I'll be eating just for the sake of getting my calories up. A few weeks ago my trainer said she thought I wasn't eating enough, now she's been on MFP for a few…
  • I'm not sure if I'll get a full tummy tuck (not sure I could afford it), but I definitely get my hanging skin removed. I have lost (since my highest) 136 lb, and I have skin hanging down on my stomach, it still has some fat, but I doubt it will go even when the fat is gone, and it bothers me.
  • I don't drink coffee, but it has caffeine and my trainer told me when I drink soda which also has caffeine you should actually drink more water, since caffeine can act as a diuretic.
  • You cannot healthily lose 6-7 lbs per week. 1200 is the very bare minimum for a woman. A man should not eat less than 1500 calories. Plus if you really are working out 2 hours a day, that is basically you starving yourself.
  • Did a bootcamp class, followed by my kickboxing class.
  • What do you do to get your calories up without eating junk? I know about oil and nuts (my trainer doesn't want me eating peanuts, but is ok with almonds, walnuts, etc. As long as theory are plain and not in oils or anything) I need more things that are more calorie dense, since I am not that hungry. The problem is my…
  • I have mixed feelings. I have the BMF LINK and I LOVE seeing the calories I burn. The only time I take it off is when I am in the shower. Now the thing I'm frustrated about, is it has not helped me to lose weight. I've been in the 170's since November, and I workout 6 days a week. Part of my problem I think, is I like to…
  • Might not help you, but I've learned just to stay away from those places ESPECIALLY McDOnalds. I LOVE their fries and nuggets, but every time I eat them I crave them more. SO I've learned just not to go in there
  • I've never had a thyroid problem so I'm not sure, but my weight is stuck. I've been in the 170's for the past 6 months and I work out 6 days a week and am on my feet 10 hours a day at my job. I'm beyond frustrated. I finally made a doctors appointment, so I can get bloodwork done. I'm kind of hoping for a medical…
  • Maybe instead of a free day, have a free meal. If I were to have a whole day of not tracking, I could consume a TON of calories, and it would be extremely hard to get back on track. As opposed to just a cheat meal, it is much easier.
  • I'm no expert, but this is my opinion. I workout 6 days a week, intense with cardio kickboxing. I do stregth training now once a week to failure. I think that sometime when you exercise a ton and restrict your calories you are actually eating to little. I went away for one week in January, did only one small session of the…
  • I used to drown my sorrows in food. Now if I'm angry or pissed, I feel much better after a kickboxing class. I am addicted to cardio kickboxing, I beat up the bag and it helps me vent my frustrations. It is an awesome workout!
  • I vote for Kohl's too. They usually have great sales. Occasionally Old Navy too, but I don't really like the fit of their jeans. Most people say Goodwill, now I'm not high class or anything (I wear jeans and t shirts mostly), but wearing strangers clothes just skeeves me out for some reason. I mean I know they've been…
  • 29 year old female Height: 5'2", possibly a little under Weight 173.2 (as of 4 weeks ago, my trainer has banned me from the scale :( ) Pants size 12-14
  • Judging by your diary, you should try eating. You ar eating way to little.
  • It takes me a 2 hour long classes of kickboxing to burn that much. Although if I do one kickboxing class and other stuff throughout the day, I can get up there. I use my BMF to see my burn.
  • MY belief is as long as you have a deficit at the end of the week, you can lose. Like for me on Monday, I had a dentist appointment that took longer than I anticipated and was unable to work out before work. I still ate like I worked out (PMSing and I was hungry), but I know on many days I'm under my calories. So I knew it…

  • I've never heard of that. I do drink a lot of Wyler's light (similar to crystal light), and since I started drinking it, I've diluted it more and more. I started with the individual packets, 1 in 16.9 oz of water, than that got to sweet and switched to 1 in 20 oz, then went to 24 oz, now I am up to one packet in 32 oz of…
  • My trainer told me it could be just you're really pushing your body. I do train to failure with her and I've been doing it for 5 weeks and been fine. Last week I was doing sit ups on the bench (she had raised it one notch) and when I got up I had to wait before I moved to the next exercise. I felt very nauseous. She said…
  • Last cold I had I did the same thing. Kept pushing myself. Did not take off from working out. Even though during my kickboxing classes I wasn't going full speed, since I kept having coughing fits, I still kept going to class. I think my cold would have gone away quicker had I rested some. I just feel so lazy when I take a…
  • I used to use my TOM as an excuse. I get bad cramps so I would feel like crap and not want to work out. One day I said screw it, I'm going and you know what I felt a TON better after I worked out. So that is no longer a valid excuse for me.
  • She said she is walking! She's not gaining muscle walking. Plus muscle is just smaller than fat, not heavier.
  • I always take one day off a week. They say having a rest day is good for you. I do feel lazy on my off day, so I do do something minor, like dance around my apartment or something else, just not something as intense as my kickboxing class. Though if it's not my off day and I just don't feel like it, I push myself and just…

  • She told me my body might use nuts as carbs,so not to eat them at night, and also unfortunately told me peanuts and peanut butter is no good for you, hangs onto fat (I think that's what she said). I'll have to do more cheeses. hardboiled eggs are good, but I don't like the yolk, but I do eat the white. Wht would you do…
  • Bump. I'd like to see some more input
  • Glad I'm not the only one! According to my BMF, workout days (which is 6 days a week) I burn 3000-3200 calories or more. I too used to eat 1200 (no exercise calories) I strted bumping up my calories. Got to nearly 2000, I was there for 2 months or so, but felt like I was eating to much and wasn't losing anyways. Been…
  • I've been plateaued (on and off) for the last 6 months. I lose a couple pounds (or like last time I lost in January, one pound) I am beyond frustrated. I do have a body media fit and I do burn 3000-3200 calories on workout days (6 days a week) and 2500-2700 on my off day. I was trying to do a minimum of 2000 a day (did it…
  • I don't run, but I thoroughly recommend body glide as well. My thighs rub and before I discovered it I would get bad painful chafing. It was horrible, I use body glide religiously now and haven't had a problem since. Reminds me I got to get some more.
