  • I started increasing my calories a few weeks ago. First 1400, then 1500, then 1600. Might stay at 1600 for another week. Weigh in isn't til Thursday, but, judging from my other weigh ins this week 1600 doesn't like me yet. Previously for 8 months I'd been eating flat 1200 with nothing else and my weight had stalled.…
  • I'm totally the opposite. People ask me how much I've lost and I say I don't like to say. I'm a very private person. I think eventually, when I get to goal I might say, but it's very uncomfortable to me when people ask.
  • I have a body media fit. That is what I would assume too. I have yet to actually do this yet. I don't know why I'm afraid to. On a normal working day with my exercise I can burn over 3000 calories per day. SO that would mean I would need to eat over 2000 calories per day. I wouldn't even know how to eat that much healthy…
  • I was doing kickboxing 5 or 6 days a week. I enjoy it greatly, I actually cut back on it a little and added in the gym to switch things up. I think my body was getting to used to it. It's a great workout. I always try to push myself the hardest I can. It is fun too. I strted at the end of February and still do it.
  • I have the body media fit. I got it 3 weeks ago and I love it so far. It is giving me great data and I'm changing up my calories and stuff to go with it. I'm already losing more weight with it, and I'm challenging myself to do more and burn more calories.
  • I think it may be a closer to goal thing. Though I'm still far from my goal. I went 9 months (into this diet) without eating my exercise calories. Then recently my loss stalled and so I decided to try eating more (not necessarily my exercise calories) and so far it is working for me.
  • This is what I'm doing. I had not been eating my exercise calories, and only eating 1200 and I work 10 hours shifts on my feet moving around all day. My weight lose stalled. So 2 weeks I bumped my calories to 1400, last week 1500, and this week I'm trying 1600. I'm gonna see what works.
  • I weigh everyday (usually multiple times). I only log the weight once a week on Thursdays. I have noticed a little trend. If my weight is down towards the beginning of my week, it usually doesn't last. The scale has to be down towards the end. It's kind of weird. But I take the daily weights and just see them, I only truly…
  • I like the kind that go in your ear. I used to use Skullcandy Ink'd but after having 3 pairs have the wire break inside so that the sound only came out of one side, I've given up (gonna send the last pair back and make them give me a new one though), I am now trying Sony (still goes in your ear) and so far so good. But…
  • I got the band in December and in a way I kind of wish I didn't. I have had NO complications, or any problems. But I am not really using it. I only have a tiny bit of fill in it. But I'm losing weight and I don't care to get anymore. My doc wanted to give me one at my last visit, since I had only lot 4 lb in 6 weeks. But I…
  • So I read through this thread. I got my BMF 2 weeks ago too. On a day I work, I may burn over 3000 calories with my exercise. I didn't realize I was eating at such an enormous calorie deficit for so long. I was only grossing 1200 calories. I wasn't eating any extra exercise calories or anything. So basically I was living…
  • I was kind of curious about this, because you know how WW lets your use your activity points for the entire week (at least they did with their old plan)
  • I'm kind of the same deal. I work as an lvt (animal nurse) in the ER of a specialty hospital 3 10 hour shifts and in surgery one 10 hour shift. So I'm on my feet all day, I had chosen lightly active, but with my bodymedia, realized I was burning a lot of calories at work, so I changed it to active, but it only changed my…
  • Just keep drinking water so you don't get dehydrated.
  • I've seen so many people talking about this, and just rumba in general. I think I'm going to pick it up to try it.
  • I did not eat them for 8 months. I lost 56 lb. Then I plateaued even gaining a lb back and I was like WTF? I'm doing the same things I've been doing? I came on here and learned that I was starving my body. I got a BMF and realized my caloric deficit was way to high. I'm slowly adding the calories back in, I add 200 last…
  • I'd like some ideas too. I keep going over my sodium and it is not even accounting for the string cheese I eat, because the nutrients aren't listing in the one I use (I really should fix that)
  • I Have lost a good deal of weight in the past 8 months, and I now have bags of clothes in my room that are too big. I don't know why I can't make myself drop them off at one of those clothes bins. When I have the need for wintery/fall clothes, I'm going to do a major clean out (all of my clothes in my closet are too big)…
  • I used to have a polar HRM and now I have a bodymedia, on both devices the calories burned ar much lower than those given to me on mfp. But to that extent, I used to use livestrong and the same thing.
  • so, I'm curious. I have a Bodymedia Fit. I've been sleeping with it too. While I'm in bed it says I burn about 600 calories in like an 8 hour period. So does this mean my BMR would be around 1800? Since I multiplied that times 3 since there is 24 hours in a day.

  • I was wondering if that is really ok to do? I mean I'm craving chicken tenders from rester aunt, but I keep looking at the calories and saying that's too high. I had been eating 1200 calories without exercise calories and stuff and I hit a plateau, so last week I bumpeded up to 1400, now this week, I'm gonna do 1500, and…
  • I'm 5'2" and as of right now my goal is 135 lb. I may go lower when I get there though.
  • Had some issues this morning. Skipped kickboxing because I wanted to go to they gym instead. Got to the gym to find a sign "closed due to power outage" due to the hurricane. Severe disappointment. So went to go to the little fitness center in my co op complex to find the equipment there is garbage. Felt like the cheap…
  • I've never done the 30ds but, I know when I was over 200 lb I burned like 530 calories or so doing my kickboxing class (45 min kickboxing 15 min abs). So if it is only like 30 minutes or so that is probably way to high and either you didn't configure your HRM correctly or it is not a good one with a chest strap.
  • Just Dance 2 Michael Jackson: The Experience Wii Sports (specifically Tennis)- I get really into it and I can burn good calories this way I also have EA active and wii fit plus haven't played in a while- going to try tonight.
  • I did the 1200 for nearly 8 months. Finally I hit a plateau. I bumped up to 1400 and started losing again. I hadn't been eating my exercise calories either.
  • I think it is all about the calories. I don't eat like total crap anymore, but I do east some junk food and I just fit it into my daily allowance and I'm losing still.
  • I would recommend a bodymedia fit. It helped me break through my plateau. I did have a Polar HRM for years, but after 6 years it got to unreliable, but I loved it while I had it.
  • I broke through my 3 week plateau by doing something I didn't think I would do. I ate more! Iwas doing 1200 calories only, not eating my exercise calories or anything. I got a bodymedia fit and realized days I worked out and went to work (On my feet 10 hour shifts) I had a calorie deficit of close to 2000. Yeah, so I…
