Tesco chips are an option too, if you'd like to degrade the sanctity of the chippy institution! :D

I'm 5'1" and it's a real pain because 1000 calories is almost my whole day's worth, so I usually split my chips into two meals.

I don't think it's so much about food as different brands/stores for me. Like, there're fudge cakes that are 700 calories a slice, and fudge cakes that are 300 calories a slice and taste just as decadent. No slice of cake is worth 700 calories to me, especially since I'll probably get hungry again in an hour's time.

Crash dieting to lose that extra few pounds led to binging and putting on WAY more than the initial extra few pounds. :(

She's 5'2", 1000 calories is fine. The idea that 1200 calories is the magical number that stops your body going into starvation mode is ridiculous and superstitious.

I don't think they were the same but your comment reminds me that I used to have butter and sugar sandwiches as a kid, mmm.

I used to do this in the microwave with grated mozzarella and parchment paper!

We sort of have a snack like that in Singapore!

Here's some anecdotal evidence for your consideration: my sister crashed dieted, eating at a 1000 calorie deficit (200 kcal worth of congee - delicious and amazingly filling tbh - 3x a day). If the weight loss parameters matter, she started out at 155cm/45kg. She lost 10kg in a little over a month and has gleefully…

I'm aware this thread is veering even further off tangent, but so does every child in Singapore and Hong Kong. :-)

air fryer works for me! not sure how accessible that is for you though.

same!! i haven't binged in ages now that there are no "good"/"bad" foods. the experiment where the guy lost weight eating twinkies all day err day convinced me! even if i have no calories left for the day, knowing that the cake is off-limits till tomorrow and not forever has really helped me a lot. yay to us

i feel compelled to post because my middle name is Lazy and my first name is Extremely. we are brethren! but i find losing the "all or nothing" mentality has worked wonders. i used to resolve every single night to get up early to do the 30 Day Shred... i think i probably did 3 sessions in a month max. now instead of…

I can fully sympathise with you. I'm trying to go 3 weeks without eating crap. I used to cheat a lot but I've realised being tired/stressed/hungry is actually *even more* reason not to cheat, because that's when you're at your most susceptible. Plus, since your life sucks atm (if you're stressed) cheating/binging and…

You should have said "well, I recommend you get a personality transplant. I think you should rethink your goals." But anyway honey, you look great enough for you and your loved ones, and a hell of a lot hotter than you used to be. The world is filled with douches with over-inflated egos who think they are in a position to…

My gym (and online gym forums) is populated with guys who say things like this. Yknow, the sort of guy who talks about "broscience", and says "10/10 would bang" (like they stood a chance in the first place) and "do you even lift bro".

Yup, soon after I drink a huge bottle of Coke I get a pretty bad headache. Sugar is known to cause headaches.
