I'll try and get pregnant again ;) lol. My big motivator is to have a healthy pregnancy that I start at a healthy weight (instead of going into it with previous baby weight). But really, I'm thinking seriously about some boudoir photos. And hey! Might help with point 1. ;)

Yes it's true. My rings and shoes all get tight when I gain weight. I went up a half size in each.

This. A long time ago I heard an expert say that daily weigh ins were correlated with higher long-term success rates. The immediate feedback helped hold people accountable for each days choices. It definitely takes a thick skin- there are days I eat nothing and gain. But it's been educational. I've learned how my body…

Thanks for the inspiration! As a momma to 2, I live for photos like this that remind me that, yes, you can be hot after baby! :D GOOD FOR YOU!

Wanted to point out that "eating dirty" can also mean: coffee, alcohol, soda of any kind, chocolate, anything in a can etc.... So when people say they "eat dirty" they aren't necessarily saying they eat ice cream and fast food daily. Just that they don't prohibit non-natural items from their diets. ;)

Not laughin here. You SHOULD be proud of your guns ;)

I just wanted to say that (after I hit my goal weight) my new goal will be heavy lifting to define and strengthen. And it's thanks to threads like this. :) I have always LOVED strength training but forced myself to steer clear because of the myths. I'm so glad I've been educated. :)

I am running late (gotta get in the shower!) So I don't have time to read. But wanted to say, I'm BFing and have lost half my goal weight (and all THIS baby weight). Please add me! :)

I'm proud that I came within .7 lbs of my mini-goal (pre-baby weight by birthday). Then I had an AWESOME birthday and ate whatever I wanted. And I don't feel guilty at all. Today I'm back at it... kicking butt and making the body I want. I feel in control of my food, my body, and my choices. No guilt. No deprivation. :)

I have made it more than half way to my goal by calorie restriction alone. I don't know how to do "IIFYM". I don't know how to "eat clean". (Yes, I know I can google both, but I'm happy doing what I'm doing for now). ;) I burn calories and I limit my intake. I splurge for important occasions. NO food is off limits ;) That…

lol! I like that ;) Thanks for all the ecouragement ladies... and all the friend requests. I love it! :D We can do this!

I took it, lost 8 lbs easily... then stopped losing. The effects had worn off (after about 4-6 weeks) and I was in the same boat.

You look amazing! And what an awesome thing for your kid to see a mom who took control of her body and did something healthy and that feels rewarding for her! :)
-
Yay for her! I get so frustrated. I was on doctor assured weightloss and not losing at 1200 calories either. Doctors advice? Eat less!! I went back to 1500 calories and started losing! So glad to know this ridiculous misinformation is not plaguing her any more! :)

Amazed by your midsection. Nice!

Thanks:)

Congrats on your success!

Congratulations on reclaiming your health and stamina. What an inspiration! And how cool that others are following your positive example! I can't see all the photos though- they seem too large so they're running off the frame? I love reading your "science" facts. the 43% number especially. THAT is an awesome reminder when…

My total goal is 46lbs. Although really that is a conservative number. I agree- it is a hard balance! I think it takes patience because there were weeks (especially at the beginning) where I had to stop trying to lose because it was affecting my milk supply and my baby's health needed to take priority. Those days were…

I have to guess because they have changed as I lose more and get more aggressive with my goals. I am 5'7" and I believe my initial goal was 1450+ breastfeeding calories. Initially I gave myself 500 breastfeeding calories because he was exclusively breastfeeding around the clock (made an educated guess based on online…

So inspiring! I am amazed at your willpower and persistence. It has truly paid off. And the best part- your weight loss and fitness is really YOURS. Not just a momentary burst... but a methodical lifetime of change. GOOD FOR YOU!

You've done so much in such a short time! Such muscle mass! :) Congrats!

Abeare- feel free to add me as a friend. I've got several BFing mamas in my friend's list. I don't think others can understand- it really is a tricky balance. I definitely stalled a few times because I felt it affected my supply- and so I held off. But by tracking, I at least STOPPED the GAIN! And was able to set myself up…

You look great! I am sold! :) I'm curious, was there weight loss between the two pics? (I like to get an idea of what I can expect). Right now, I'm in weightloss mode. I plan to add muscle after my weightloss... and so will look into those recommendations. Thanks for the inspiration!

What's up with THAT!? 100 lbs is a major achievement!
-
Oh ps- google the Blue Ribbon diet while pregnant. Super interesting!

Mine seem to stay big. Remember, cup size is proportionate to band width. So I have gone from a 36 G to a 34 G (almost 32!). They might be "smaller" but on my frame they're just as big. Don't really love reading all the nasty comments about boobs and looking fat. Eta- seriously people. THINK about how what you're saying…

It is dangerous to aim for weight loss while pregnant. Depending on your health and starting weight- you might only need to "maintain" or "gain a small amount" but a doctor would know. There is some interesting research on pregnancy calories- in that they are not all created equal. It is certainly true in my experience. My…

I don't think there is anything moral or immoral about what we're attracted to. It's hard-wired into us. If my husband gained 100 lbs I would not be as attracted to him. I would still love him deeply. But sexually? No, not really. And I'm sure he feels the same. (And that's okay with me). It's not love, it's sex. And…
