That brought tears to my eyes. I'm so happy for you! congrats on your NSV. That is HUGE, and your story is beautiful. :)

It's easy to do, and I think we've all done it. Basically, there are two ways to do it - set your target range at BMR and eat back your exercise calories, or set your target at 15% TDEE and don't eat back your exercise calories. At least, that's what I've gathered. According to EM2WL, it's better to set your target at 15%…

Fantastic and so true! That's exactly what I'm doing. One day at a time .:) Thanks for the reminder.

Me to all of this except Haggis. Don't know what that is! Won't ever try organs. Sorry. I'm all for trying new things, but no thanks. LOL My husband actually tried liver once at a Japanese Hibachi restaurant. It was, of course, done up with tons of butter, and he actually liked it. The thought makes me throw up a little in…

Wow...got super excited...and then super sad. LOL

Heels, my husband when he nuzzles my neck...well, my husband when he does a lot of things :)
-
So, I only did workout A, and I'm glad I did, though I'll be adding weight next time. I was a little nervous, never having really even played with real weights before. LOL. But I did well, I think. So excited! I did 45 lbs on the squats - will do more next time. Only 15 lb dumbbells on the weighted steps - more next time.…

I may be able to talk my husband into helping. :) He'd prefer spotting me than buying a squat rack. Besides, my workout area - which is a good size and takes up about 1/4 of our basement - doesn't have enough space left for anything else. :)
-
That's what I'm hoping for!!! I will certainly do what I can to exhaust myself! LOL
-
Really? There's no alternative for a squat rack? I guess at that point, I'll have to start back at the beginning or move on to something else. :(
-
Good idea. If I really feel like it, I'll round out the hour on my elliptical. :)
-
Okay...I'm just so excited and used to hour-long workouts with P90X. But I will push it to the max!
-
Oooh...I was thinking you do A AND B together. I start today. I really want to do both! I'm so fired up, I feel like I could! It doesn't seem to difficult, at least in Stage I, after completing P90X. What do you guys think?
-
What an inspiration. Thank you for posting this.
-
Wow. That is awesome! I wish all our food at home was made from scratch, let alone the school???Wow. I'm happy for you guys!

I agree that for the most part, it's a good thing. As I said, I'd be packing my daughter's lunches if it were up to me. But some can't afford to pack lunches. What about those kids? I like that my daughter has healthier options, and honestly, she always has, since Grade 1.
-
I'm so mixed about it too. I remember our school lunches. My mother packed for us because it was cheaper in the long run and much healthier, but one day a week was really greasy pizza, I remember "chicken" patties that were dark meat and fatty, spaghetti with sauce that was almost fluorescent orange, and lots and lots of…

Exactly. There are times I worked two jobs, seven days a week. There was even a time when I had no car to get to those jobs and had to bum rides off coworkers - even to the grocery store - until I was able to get a car. When times are tough, you buckle down. Get a job anywhere- the gas station, McDonald's, the department…

Yeah...and I did do recovery weeks throughout P90X...kinda. Not really. Recovery is basically supposed to be stretching and yoga for a week, and I definitely didn't do that. My recovery week isn't supposed to be for another week, but I think I may start it now. Let my body catch up with the work I've been pressing it to do.
-
No worries! It's good to see you around again. I understand how crazy work can be. Lord, last week had me pulling out clumps of hair. Okay. Not really. But still. Good for you, breaking out of your plateau! That's just the sort of thing I need to hear right now. :)

Oh this makes me feel so much better. Thank you. Because I gained a .5" around my waist too. I've recently cut back my workouts because I was over training, so hopefully, I'll notice a difference after a couple days. Today is a rest day. I'm hoping to feel a little bit closer to normal tomorrow. Hopefully, permanently…
-
Or not. I guess it's not normal and good. :ohwell:
-
Oh, I love you for this. And this is my response too.
-
Yeah...I dont' get that. I also don't know how you can eat enough one time time a day. I feel like I eat all day, every day, and sometimes I still don't have all my calories. Eh...why do I bother with these types of threads? I know some people have success with fasting and different forms of it. But...I don't understand…
-
Yeah, that's my husband. LOL. I hadn't known it was a "thing." But I do know I notice it in other women, and I will admit to truly envying it. Until I got it myself. Kinda. Sometimes. LOL IDK. But I have issues, so there's that.

I think I'm going to try this Sunday night when our daughter comes home. We haven't seen her in two weeks, and she LOVES Doritos! Awesome! Thank you!
-
It does help, thank you. :) Mine used to only swell after lifting, whether it was legs or not. But...this week, they swelled on Monday. Saturday was my off day. Sunday and Monday were both cardio - but I did hardcore on the elliptical, high levels, high intensity leg work. So, it has to be the training.
-
I just don't know how to do that.
-
Okay...so...maybe I'll stop doing doubles. Just do classic. I probably do have too much cardio in the mix. I just...can't get it in my head that it would be better for me. I'm just now getting the hang of eating back my exercise calories.
-
I was in really good shape before I started and wanted to gain muscle. This is my first round, though. The thing is, I'm terrified to step back and stop burning so many calories. Call it my ED.
