When all was said and done, I probably lost one cup size after having and nursing 2 babies (each for over a year). I'm down to my pre-pregnancy weight ~ asthetically they still look fine, just smaller. And, given my workout schedule, I can't see ever doing anything artificial to make them bigger.

Wow! I hope you're super proud of yourself because you should be!

Wow, fabulous! You look so much younger too :-).

I <3 this!

Lots of people swear by it, so if it works for some, great. I'd never try it because it just cuts out way too many things I enjoy. I don't feel like something that restrictive is sustainable. I'd be far more likely to be stricter about eating "clean" or even converting to vegetarianism than to go paleo. I feel great eating…

I do something everyday. I'm currently following a marathon training program and that mandates 4 days of running, 1 day of cross training and 2 rest days - however on the rest days, I still do something. It's usually mellow (like yoga), but I still do something. If I have days off, it just throws my schedule off. I've also…

I agree, could be IT band issues. I actually injured my IT band during childbirth (of all things!) and needed physical therapy to heal. In general, though, I wouldn't "push through" bad pain, I'd stop. I routinely push through a little nag here and there, but never bad pain. That's how injuries happen!

I would have a hard time spending more than ~$40 to register for a 5k. I do spend usually somewhere around $100 for half marathons and for the one full that I've registered for. I do try to sign up early and I do look for coupon codes to bring the cost down. One of the half marathons I did was the Rock N Roll Half in San…

I ran three half marathons last year. I have another half in April and I've started training for a full (my first!) in May. Like many, many other posters, I actually ran the 13.1 miles during my training before my first half marathon (actually, I ran it twice in the time leading up to it and then tapered off prior to race…

Love this response. My local studio also runs a series from time to time called "Stiff Guys Yoga" specifically for men new to the practice. ANY yoga teacher would LOVE to have you in class; try not to be intimidated and just go! You can get specialty yoga towels to go over your mat if you're concered about sweating so you…

What everyone else has said - workout when it works for you and your schedule. For me, that happens to be at about 4:20 am.

Great job! You should be so proud! If you're really interested in cross fit, why wait? Most cross fit places have on-boarding classes where you learn the basics - you could start to work some of those into your schedule. Views about cross fit are mixed on here, but I think everyone would agree that you would benefit from…

Have a pickle.

I personally would not have been comfortable leaving my 3 month old at a gym daycare and I'd never have a baby in an infant carrier on the floor of a gym near exercise equipment or weights. For now, I'd go on long, brisk walks pushing the stroller and when your child is older, invest in a good jogging stroller.

I don't "cheat" on the weekends. I'd only be harming myself, and why would I do that? I take advantage of the extra time on weekends and put MORE thought into my meals. I also get longer workouts in (sometimes two in one day, or sometimes exercise is built into the activties I do that day) because I don't have the demands…

Give it time. I know results right away is what everyone wants to see, but give your body time to adjust. You said you "came under your goal" but perhaps you were too far under your caloric guidelines? Eating too little seems to be detrimental to weight loss too.
-
You need patience. Keep at it and you will see the weight drop. I know you want results yesterday, but patience and persistance really does pay off. Your body is adjusting. Let it. (It also sounds like you're not eating enough)

Breaks are good - but the most important feedback is how you feel. If you're feeling strong on your runs and you recover quickly, keep doing what you're doing. If you find you're dragging, are more winded, are sore, legs feel like lead, etc., then more breaks may be in order.

I have a major sweet tooth, so I usually save room in my calorie allowance for something... even if it's just 10 plain M&Ms.
-
I'm sure these last few pounds you've referenced will be tough because honestly you don't look like you really have any left to lose! Great job, you should be proud of yourself :-).
-
Now that you know the recovery is quicker/better than you expected, try to push a little harder next time. The soreness WILL set in, but you should find it gets easier and easier... until you move up to the next level, of course!

I've got several MIA friends, but I haven't deleted anyone. I also have plenty of active friends who are super supportive and participate a lot. I tend to spend my attention on the friends that are actively participating rather than worrying about the people that aren't. If/when the MIA people come back, great!

To be a good example for my kids.

I get all my eggs from my organic CSA program so I'm not particularly worried about getting sick from them. That being said, I never let my kids have anything with raw egg, though I've been known to taste test cookie and cake batter from time to time. Egg Nog or shakes made with raw egg have never, ever sounded appealing…

You should be VERY proud of yourself. Just think, you have the rest of your life to enjoy the new, healthier you!

I wish I could climb inside your head and give you a different outlook on life... Exercise will help you lose weight - and there is nothing boring about losing weight. I'm wearing clothing that I had custom tailored before having kids. Do you know how fun and exciting it is to fit into them again?! I'm seeing muscle…

My emotions are heightened when I'm running a race, so I can understand your reaction. For me it's always race-related, but my highs are higher and my lows are lower.
-
For me, logging my food and staying within my calorie guidelines has made ALL the difference. I can't actually envision a future where I'm not keeping track... maybe I won't have to be *quite* so diligent someday, but the results from tracking are undeniable so I'm going to stick with it.
-
I'm so impressed with what you've accomplished. And I'm so happy that you did it young and that you'll have the rest of your life to enjoy the new, healthier you!! Way to go.

Here are a couple: With this one, I'd also recommend the addition of some frozen corn (heat it up first before mixing it in at the end) and I increased the lime juice and decreased the olive oil: Black Bean and Tomato Quinoa 2 teaspoons grated lime zest 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (most reviews said to increase this) 3…
