  • I do not like cold drinks, except for my shakes. I always have a powerade zero, water or tea handy in my bottle ready to go, but never cold. My tiny tummy doesn't like the cold drinks. Tends to cramp up a bit. As far as sipping? I can do more now, but not in huge amounts, still spaced out over the day to get it all in.…

  • Hello, you found a good place to start that is for sure. :-)
  • No, each person is different. Even two months out, protein should come first. I am nearly six months, and I am still protein first, everything else if I can. I say if I can, because most times my protein is all I can do. On my program, starches and fruits are to be kept to a minimum, especially the starches.
  • Hello and welcome!
  • I try to avoid them - high fan of zoodles and lettuce wraps and I don't do anything bread, pasta or rice.
  • No problems
  • Okay - time to make a U-Turn!! :-) Don't give up - just get back on track and you will find your way again. It can be those very things that you mentioned that you weren't doing right that have led to the issues with the stalling. Need some help send me a message and I will be happy to just talk it over. You can do this…
  • Woohoo!! So glad to hear of your recent changing and experiences. So very happy for you.
  • As women, we can gain as much as five pounds during our monthlies, but I don't think that should be that much to matter. You are still working towards your overall goal, and if your physician isn't worried about it, that so be it. I don't sweat the small numbers like that. 15 sure, 5, not so much.
  • It is a gift that keeps on giving! Fantastic work!
  • Oh yes, it is a waiting game. BUT, you are still doing working towards the goal of having it done. With me, as it seemed to drag on and on between this and that and jumping thru this hoop or that, it really made me more determined that this was what I was going and how hard I was going to have to work to get it.
  • NSV - Taken off cholesterol pill yesterday. Adding that with the BP med taken off three weeks ago that is two pills I don't have to take because my lab numbers are 'normal'.
  • My blood bank has a six month wait post any surgery but stated that they would be happy to suck out my blood again when that time comes.
  • As a hosehead as well, I can appreciate the fact that I now feel like I am rested when I wake up. My hubby had noticed a huge difference after the first week. Now that it is winter, I have the humidifier on a bit and that has helped with keeping the nose from getting to dried out. BUT, I did not like the first mask I was…
  • One thing that I noticed on Skin Tight was that I felt that there was some regret that they displayed. Like, if I had known that I would have all of this left over, I am not feeling more miserable than I was before. But, I love that they are now showing the other side, the afterwards. Now, as far as the 600, I have been…
  • My energy has been pretty good, but boy, when that battery is dead, it is dead. I have to recharge for like an hour and then I seem to be good to go. I also find that if I go to long without having anything, my energy can be zapped quickly. Sounds funny, but I feel like a cow now. Graze a bit on protein (grass for them),…
  • This was the reminder that I needed to refocus for the new year. Heck no, I ain't going back.
  • I take a lot of pills, and they did not have me wean or change them other than spacing them out a bit more instead of taking them all together.
  • I have found that I am good with carrying something like a fancy wine glass or something but filling it with water or powerade zero. Makes me feel a bit more fancified when we go to gatherings with friends so that I don't feel left out. You can always go to things, but nibble on what you know you can have. For instance, a…
  • I love all these photos! You wanna know what I notice the most (besides the dramatic body transformations) is smiles!!!
  • Hello and welcome Sam, Congrats on your date! I am not sure if you will have a pre-restriction diet or not, but letting you know that the first couple of days on mine, I was miserable. By the third day, I was not sure I was going to do it. A few calls to my Rah-Rah committee (yes, I do have one, my wonderful friends) and…
  • I use Splenda in things like my coffee or tea, but really my sugar cravings are done. As other have stated, my sweet tooth is pretty much gone now and crave the taste of real food instead. But coffee black is not something that I can handle. I have given up the cream, but can't remove the splenda packet yet.
  • My husband and I watched that a few times before the procedure, and the one thing that he pointed out was that it seemed like in some cases, there was not a very good support structure from the family or that they seemed to also be enabling the individual after the procedure. For instance, my hubby does not go and get…
  • My energy level seems to zoom now, but right after the procedure I felt like me and the lazboy were having an affair. I will say that I do really well during the day, but boy, when it comes to hitting bed, I am out. It is like all of a sudden battery is dead and time for bed. My hubby stated that he can tell if I am…
  • I attended multiple seminars from multiple providers from multiple facilities around me. I wanted to hear a lot of different opinions before deciding on my own. Was the insurance a factor? To a point, although mine would cover regardless which option I chose. I finally chose the VSG as my option. I wanted a less invasive…
  • But as I have learned, invest in good walking shoes, as it does make a difference.
  • I hit my three month mark out from VSG, and as someone else stated, it has saved my quality of life. The things that I am able to do in just three months to me is amazing, like what the heck was I waiting for delaying this?? Oh yeh, insurance. hahaha I have been so much more active, and my energy level is thru the roof. My…
  • Yes, as my doc told me, "Just move, I don't care what you do or how you do it, move." Something that I tend to follow and find myself wanting to do more now.
  • Downfall of waiting till new years is deductables are flipping back over. :-( I work in a hospital and we are having so many people try to get the last of everything scheduled in at the end. I commend you on your total loss so far.
