  • I take mine and plug it into the charge thing while I am in the shower and it seems to keep up pretty well. Besides, don't want to lose any steps while its charging! (haha)
  • Disclaimer - not a physical guru, not a doc, not a nutrition person, just me offering my thoughts okay?? So... Is there anyone there that can give you a tour to show you the different options on the machines and circuits? At the Y we use Activetrax there, it takes all the guesswork out of what I am doing that day. I go to…

  • Also remember that women do tend to fluctuate a plus or minus 1 or so pounds just because we are women and such. As others have said, grab that tape measure because inches also count as a loss even when not having the poundage to back that up. Stalls are normal, no reason to freak out yet. I would say, however, that after…
  • I am not really having much of a sweet tooth at all, but I tell you I miss pasta sometimes. Zoodles have become my good ol' standby. Hubby even doesn't mind them. I prefer to have them steamed a bit prior to using, but he like the crunchy from them just zoodled raw. Funny, he had no idea that wasn't pasta prior to eatting…

  • I tell you what, if it wasn't for those CL packets, I wouldn't drink as much water. I can handle the no bubbles, no straw, no pop, nothing like that, but plain water?? Yegads, I don't like it. My hubby loves the sweet tea one as well as the lemonade one, and we always have a pitcher made up so easy to do water bottle…
  • For a quick fix on cold brew - look up Pioneer Woman's directions, easy peasy to follow. I make mine and it lasts me several days. Any protein vanilla shake will do if you want to add that. Sugar free flavorings have been an addiction for me lately, and I have quite a few different ones. Cinnamin Dulce, Mocha, Caramel,…
  • I have the blaze and I love it. I love that it really looks like a watch instead of a tracker. I love that I can get a variety of different bands to change the look of it. I love that I can adjust the face of it, and lets face it, I love color. I love that when sync'd to my phone, I can get messages over it. **note - you…
  • Yes and No Yes - if you want to have all the features of the blaze working, such as message and calendar notification as well as music controls and such. And it needs to be a smart smart phone. There is a list of phones it will work with and such on FB's website. No - if you don't wanna use those features, you do not need…
  • I did Greek yogurt and applesauce during this phase. Yeh, pretty much the whole time of it. I am a texture person, it was kind of hard to do any else. I have heard of some doing the baby food pureed meats and such especially since the size was so small that trying to clean my bullet was just a pain if I did it myself.
  • Hello! Over 6 months VSGer and also occasional shift worker (at a hospital), so if you work wacky hours, I am a great friend to add who can understand and add support to those of us who live on the dark side! :-)
  • I am an UP (the original first edition one) to a Blaze and I love the differences that I can see. For me, the differences are to numerous to mention but the steps and accuracy is something that I can say is a HUGE difference. Perhaps because of the technology difference, how I am wearing this to that and such like that.
  • I know that when I was connecting my blaze it stated to use food and water tracking on MFP instead of Fitbit, not both. I was assuming it was because of a syncing error between the two. I have occasionally gotten some extra meals, like it was doubled, but I just go in and take them off. Or having like 300 minutes of…
  • If it was a water resistant band, that might be okay. I don't know, I would might perhaps try wrapping it with like a sports tape to see if that will 'mudproof' it, but still accurately take your measurements. That might be a temporary solution to going mudding (which sounds fun, exciting and exhausting all at the same…
  • Increase my water intake. I was doing really well, but now, not so much. I can do it, but I haven't been. I need to carry my bottle around and just do it!
  • It is good to know for me how when we stop doing our good habits the bad stuff can come creeping back. ((makes mental note - log for life, got it)) Logging does make me more aware of the ins and outs of what I am doing. Eat something, scan or log it right then and there. Makes it so much easier for me. I am kind of a small…
  • First off - hahaha I love your picture. Secondly - I think that it is normal to get those, after all, lets face it, we have been having 'food' all our lives, some in more mass quantities than others. So now, we are not going to have solids all the time and our brain is confused. It wants to listen and not want it, but I…
  • Now celebrate those NSV's as well as the scale ones!! (Non-scale victories)
  • I am over six months, and I have not had anything alcoholic yet. Doc said to wait till the one year mark, but to remind myself that a little will go a long way. He said to still stick to anything not bubbly, but like someone else said, I will become a very cheap drunk. I think that if I did, I would likely do vodka with…
  • Reset yourself and get back on your program. Why? It worked. Sure, it is mental, but you did hell week (month), so you know that you can do it. Just have to get yourself back on program. Do your liquid meal replacements, watch those calories and don't go over. Reset your tiny tummy and seriously, if you need someone to…
  • Consering what those contestants went thru to get to the weight that the trainers wanted, I can see who their metabolism might be messed up. I can also see why some once they get to the point of no shakes, eatting full meals will sometimes do a 'reset' to try to whip our tiny tummies back in shape for instance after a…
  • @vanillarose77 As one who works at a hospital, I can totally understand shift working. That is okay, sometimes we have to just flip things up a bit to make it work for us.
  • I have very short hair, so a little easier I guess. I tend to just rinse on not workout days, and wash on workout days.
  • Met hubby on POF and we will have our 8th anniversary coming up at end of month. Depends on what fishing for I guess if you find what you are looking for. He is my geek extrodinaire and I feel so lucky to have found him in my life. Now, I am changing, physically and mentally, and he did state that he finds it harder to…
  • Not going to lie, I thought it sucked. I hated it. In my head, I was thinking I was going to quit, that I couldn't make it one week. No 'food'?? Like seriously, yes, I was serious, I hated it, and that was the first day. My poor husband, I wouldn't let him eat around me, for fear I would not be able to control my…
  • I have noticed that I am a bit more outgoing as well. I guess because my self-confidence in myself is picking up??
  • I have battled with being bi-polar my whole life. Depression is and will always be something that I will struggle with. However, I know that it is something that when the need arrises, I have a counselor that I can talk with. I have a friend that I can talk with. I have a friend that I can state, hey I need to grab a cup…
  • So, my NSV for this week...I can shave my whole leg without having to bend, flip this way or that, squeeze till I can't breathe, and miss the whole backside stuff. I did the whole thing, easy peezy, in the shower. :D
