Its possible. I went from 320 to 214 in around 8 months. But I went from eating whatever, whenever, and not being active (aside from work, which had me standing/walking/squatting all day) to carefully tracking what I ate and taking up hiking up a Multnomah Falls. Also gave up dairy, bread, and most carbs for a while. The…

Cottage cheese and greek yogurt are my big sources. Lots of lean protein without going heavy on the calories. But sardelsa pretty much has you covered there.

Was again able to wear the clothes that I bought when I first lost 100 lbs 6 years ago. I regained half that weight a year later (and have been stuck there ever since) and couldnt keep wearing that stuff, so I had to get bigger clothes. But since I refocused myself last year, Im now very close to hitting my previous lowest…

Been making a pretty lazy soup lately. I call it "Southwest 3 Bean and Sweet Potato Soup!" Its quick, its low calorie, very filling, and its pretty healthy. Its a mix of fresh and ready-made ingredients, which helps speed up the process. Overall, takes about a half hour to prepare and makes enough for 7 bowls, or so, each…

I've never had it, but from looking at their web site, it doesn't seem any different from other weight loss shakes. If you've looked into how those weight loss shakes work, you basically replace two whole meals with one of those shakes. The Man Shake appears to be no different, other than offering "macho" branding so you…

You hear it all the time. "Oh you should try this, I hear it works great", or "theres this new thing that everyones been talking about" and "this thing I saw on TV helped all those people", etc. They think theyve got a solution for you, even though you never asked. Theyre not doing it out of malice, just trying to be…

Sometimes you need to check the label of whatever youre logging vs what MFP says. I find so much stuff on MFP that is just incorrect. Even scanning the barcode will often get me results that dont match the nutritional info the item I scanned states.

What I would recommend is having a snack for breakfast and a snack for lunch, and leaving the bulk of your calories for dinner (or whatever order works best for you). That way you're feeling full in the evening and not feeling like you need to snack on stuff after dinner. It also helps to eat a ton of veggies. They're low…

Keep at it! I went through the same. Lost 100 lbs in a year, gained 40 lbs back over the course of 4 years. Stopped working out, stopped tracking what I eat and just ate whatever. Thankfully I didnt go too far passed 40, but l started to eat more and more in the last half of 2017, to the point where my shirts were starting…

Thanks man! So whats in the future for you? Are you satisfied with where youre at?

Nice work brother! I too had a similar story. Though, I unfortunately waited till I was 320lbs (probably higher, that was my last recorded max weight) and getting depressed about turning 30, to do anything about it. Lost 100 lbs, but then put some back on after a few years. Working at it again to get down to at least 200…

Your body tends to hold onto fat closer to your core than your extremities. So as you lose weight, you face, hands, feet usually start to lose fat first, and then arms, legs, and then your core. Theres some variance from person to person, though. Some people hold onto the fat in their stomach (my problem there), others…

I can easily eat a whole loaf of french bread. Especially with a little garlic butter. Who am I kiddig, a ton of garlic butter. Its ridiculous. I purposefully try to stay away from breads while Im cutting, otherwise, one thing eats to another and before I know it Im stuffing my face with a whole package of cream cheese…

Could always make some healthy dip and use cucumbers and baby peppers to dip. Might satisfy that need to dip a chip? https://i.imgur.com/BcFPXGv.jpg

I was sick a few days ago. Same problem, didnt keep any food down. I pretty much didnt bother to log anything. No real reason to religiously log stuff when youre sick. In the end, you know you didnt consume all those calories.

I looked like crap I felt like crap And I certainly wasnt attracting any women. Not that I am now... but at least I dont feel like crap!

I try to avoid it because its a bit of a trigger food for me. But when I can have a little, Ill use it for dip on my veggies. Celery, carrots, bananas, whatever. I like the flavor and texture of it, so I tend to not mix it in as an ingredient with other foods (aside from peanut butter cookies). You could also do no bake…

You can add me if youd like. I check MFP daily, and like to offer support.

Very yes.

Sorry, Ive been out of the loop. But wow, they MF forums are down? Thats incredibly stupid on their part. The MF community here was always pretty sparse compared to the official site. There was so much good stuff on that site to help liven up the MF diet so you dont get bored of eating the same stuff every day.

Ive been on here for a few years. Ill admit my logging hasnt been superb, but Im always on here daily for support.

When Im lazy, Ill buy some "healthy" frozen foods. Easily trackable calories. Perdue lightly breaded chicken breasts, 190 calories. Steamfresh steamed broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots, 120 calories.A bit of dressing for the veggies, 50 calories. Maybe a couple of tortillas (200 calories) and a piece of cheese or two…

Wow thats a hell of a change. Nicely done!

Straight out of the shower in just my underwear. I find my clothes can add up to 5 lbs, especially jeans. Also socks mess with my Aria scale.
-
Oops, forgot to add that you should consider investing in a food scale. Will make a huge difference in how accurate your calorie estimations are.

This is likely your problem. Theres a lot of people that stress about not being able to lose weight, and the likely problem is that they dont properly track their calorie intake and/or their TDEE. No one is a special snow flake that cant lose weight. Its simple physics, calories in vs calories out.

Havent bothered really tracking how much I spend. In the end, its still cheaper than buying fast food all the time.

Theyre loaded with fiber too. Bake em in the oven and hit em with a little honey, mash em up with a bit of almond milk. Man, yummy treat!
