Could be a food sensitivity? Gluten always makes me super bloated, though I'm not celiacs. Also could just be your body type. It's frustrating to me that I'm not taller, but there's not much to do about it! LOL! :)

I like sunflower oil. Can add a few drops of lavender or another essential oil if you like. Really works great for keeping your feet from looking cracked and gross!

I'm in a similar boat. In a funk, but I know it would probably help if I improved my diet... you know... consistently. Also love cats, and have Graves Disease. I highly recommend trying to get to at least a few classes! Your body may need modifications for certain poses, and in-person feedback is really important to getting the most out of it as well as avoiding injury. Then take that feedback with you to your home practice. :)

Pre-logging the food really helps me stay on track. Everytime I think about food, I drink water. I also try to think about what I'm feeling when I want to eat. Bored? A craving? Feeling emotional and want to escape? It seems to help me identify at least if I'm actually hungry. I'm usually not, or at least not so hungry…

Plain Greek yogurt as a substitution for sour cream. Works in recipes too. Never eat mayonaise again. Or if you MUST, the olive oil Mayo from Best Foods/Hellmans is good. Portion control. Take half of what you think you want. Just try it. If you're still hungry 20 minutes later, go get more.
