  • THey say you are supposed to take it off for an hour to help prevent skin irritation. I switch it to my right arm when I sleep, and on my left during the day, and have never had a problem. I only leave mine off when I shower.
  • DEFINITELY! I get 7 hours of zumba in per week!! LOVE zumba!
  • I also thought about waiting, and what I've seen about the new one is great, but these release dates on new product are never set in stone, so it could be August, but it could also be December. Was talking with my husband and he jsut asked, "well, do you want it to start helping now or in 6 months" and my immdiate answer…
  • Love mine too, had it a month now! In reply to the question if it logs your workout, someone else said there was a way to track your workout, which there is IF you get the LINK and pair it with your bluetooth for the workout. The only issue withthis is that bluetooth drains your arm band QUICKLY. SO, rather than keeping it…
  • I think I log it ias aerobic dance, the calories work out equally.
  • I am not to level 3 yet. I would say to NOT feel discouraged. If you cannot do level 3, just stick to level 2, even if you feel you're not getting a great workout, do it for another week or so , and see then if week 3 is any better.
  • NDJ1979, The reason why your at rest calorie burn counts is because body media is an all inclusive device, and it measures your calorie burn at all times, so that it knows what you need to eat. Each of our bodies need X amt of calories just to survive, because the armband is on all the time, it gives you a better feedback…
  • LOVE mine! I noticed your question about it being annoying. Just to make sure my skin does not get irritated, I wear it on my right arm at night! ALSO, do NOT tighten the band to omuch, the little plates will stick to your arm. I found my sweet spot is prett high on my arm (I have lots of extra arm skin that is still…
  • LOVE mine!! I've had it about 3 weeks and am SO SO happy with it!! msg me if you have any questions! Remember to give it time to get to know your body!
  • How long have you been using BFM? The longer you use it, the better it gets to know you. If you have only been on it a few days, leave the MET's alone, and keep using it. It will start to learn you and how you burn. I know over the past 3 weeks it has changed a lot for me, and I can now more easily achieve Vigorous…
  • For BMF its all about the MET's... you can see the information if you go on your dashboard, and then click on the physical activity drop down and it will give you more information. ALSO, how long have you been using your BMF? I found the longer I've been using it (about 3wks now) the better it gets to know me. GIve it time…
  • I agree! While I don't ride to burn, doing other exercises help! I am also a hunter/jumper, I do a lot of no stirrup work and really work my abs a lot. lots of posting, and lots of 2pt trying to work my inner thighs! Nice to see other EQ's on here!
  • So, I know this conversation is a bit old by now, but I wanted to chime in that I also love my BMF!! I've only had it a few weeks, but on week one it helped pull me out of a month and change plateau that I could not get out of despite trying everything. now, not all tools work for every person, but I just wanted to give a…
  • THe only think I use MFP for after getting my arm band is simply to log my food. I do not pay any attention to what it says about how many calories I have left, or log anything else, lol, I put my faith in my BMF
  • LOVE my body media! It is not uncomfortable once you find the sweet spot, I have lots of extra skin under my arms, that is still a bit fatty, so I had to find a good spot that was not rubbing, but keep moving it around. You also do not need to wear it tight at all. The ltitle plates stick to your skin and holds it in place…
  • I did LOADS of research when I decided that I needed SOME device to help me. In all my research, I conclude that the fitbit is no more than a glorified pedometer. A heart rate monitor will give you a better idea. Though, I chose to go with a Body Media Fit, its an arm band that measures other points besides heart rate. I…
  • I LOVE zumba! Though I have to disagree with a few people about this, I wore a HRM for a class once (before the damn thing broke) and I burned 901 calories. I am 5'2" and weigh 201, so peraps I am burning more than you are. I wear a Body Media Fit arm band now, and the other night it told me 536. I would definitely get an…
  • I POURED over the links!! Granted, I did not quite understand everything, but I am glad to have the information. Thank you so much fo the help and advice!
  • Thank you all SO much!! this is SUCH a big help!
