  • i agree with you, but some of us can't work out 7 days a week. =) I have also been told that anything over an hour is a waiste of time. i try to keep my cardio to an hour (hour and 15 tops) and my weights to about an hour as well. i've lost over 40 lbs in a years doing it this way and that was with not so great eating…
  • you want to do both of course, but depending on your goals is what depends on how much cardio and how much weights you use. I would "not" do weights more than 3 times a week and give yourself a good 24hrs of rest. I did weights twice a week and cardio 3 or 4 times a week to loose weight. now i'm trying to add muscle and am…
  • thanks guys, it was tuff, and i know this last bit of fat is going to be the hardest to loose =-(
  • deff do insanity after p90x, it would have been easier for me if i had done it that way instead of reverse
  • thanks stooo, yeah i love jack and also i like presurge unleashed. i use presurge unleashed right now and i only need one scoop but i just got back on my pre workout stuff after my 3 week cycle off, before i got to the point i was taking 2 1/2 scoops and wasnt really feeling it. i feel ya on the on and off thing, but i was…
  • i did insanity and lost 18lbs, but i was in the worst shape of my life at 240lbs. i just used jack for a pre work out and didnt eat anything as i did my workout at 6am and i found i cant eat anything with jack or i get sick, but it worked great for me if i didnt eat anything, i would just have some 12 hour protein the…
  • amazing story man, i am in a similar boat with weight, i was stuck at 210 for about 3 months eating 2000 cal, and i had a friend tell me to up it to 3000cal and he showed me this program to cut weight so i am trying it, this is my first week back down to 2400 cal and last week i was down to 206lbs from upping my cal…
  • what i did was go to my mother-in-laws and my parents for christmas and didnt take any left overs home. thank God cause i ate a bunch of cookies =) welcome and we have all been in the same boat so good luck and stick with it
  • i always drink a 12 hour protein shake (with water not milk) before i go to bed, it takes care of my sweet hunger and helps me not eat something bad. also helps me since i dont eat anything before my am workout.
  • i dont see how a wii would be that much cheaper after you buy all the extra controls and gloves and fit. heck it might cost more, we got xbox and kinect for 299. spent less than 50 on the sports game and we are set, the boxing is a good work out. so is the track and field. i would go xbox. My sis got a fighting game (for…
  • This topic is great cause my wife thinks I'm too skinny. I'm 6'1" and 208 lbs. She liked me better when I was 220 when we got married. But I think I'm still a big Guy and I look at my friends that are the same height and weigh less than 180 and think they are skinny not me. But they fit in the bmi range for healthy. I…
  • i can't say anyting about BB but i can about a couple products (p90x and insanity). they act as a home PT. P90X does stuff i have been doing in the gym for years, but i could never get below 218lbs ish since i was 21yrs old. i would work out 5 to 6 days a week doing both weights and cardio, lots of cardio. Insanity got me…
  • this topic is funny, before i started to lose weight my wife never new me when i was below 220lbs, (i'm 6'1"). now that i have trimmed up she says she liked me better when i was bigger. she always tells me she will devorce me if i loose anymore weight. (i know she is joking....... i think). but i still consider myself a…
  • throw in a protein shake or two, oh how i love my protein shake, it takes care of my sweet tooth issue:smile:
  • i agree, way too little esp if your working out, sticking with the MFP is the best idea, i was eating too low and that was 2200 calories, now that i use mfp i upped it to 3000ish, i too dont get much workout at work anymore, but i work out 5 to 6 times a week for about 75 min or so.
  • Good luck and stay focused, its all about will power and knowledge:wink:
  • i agree completely edorice, Insanity was stupid hard for me being out of shape. i remember the first day i did p90x plyo (after i did insanity) and i was like "this is it, this is all you got?"
  • the recovery week is needed trust me, I think the joints need that break, same with rest days. Don't over push yourself. Just keep pace and you'll be fine. i know its tempting though.
  • i used to eat right when i woke up(5am) then work out at 6am. but using my pre-workout formula, i cant eat before my workout or i will get sick. so now i have gotten used to not eating and drinking about 10oz of water with my pre-workout and then i work out and pack on the protien after. what helped me was i would drink…
  • I did insanity first then p90x(reg version) i lost more weight in insanity, but then again i was in better shape when i started p90x (as i went through insanity). i also gained back some muscle in p90x. But unless you have some amazing will power(i did cause i was so discusted with myself for letting me get so far out of…
  • Good job! Stick with it and you will beat your goal!
  • i was flirting with 240lbs (ht 6'1") and didnt start working on it till feb. but now i'm 208lbs, best shape of my life. i've been more muscular in college, but was never this tone, i love seeing my veins pop out in my biceps when i work out. never had that in college:smile:
  • no i did it back in feb. 2010 to start my "get back into shape", lost 18lbs. Then i did p90x and lost another 12lbs and regained some muscle. then i did p90x again and really didnt lose any weight stayed around 210 to 208lbs. but could see more muscle tone. i then realized it was my diet i was eating roughly 2000 to 2200…
  • Good luck peeps. I'm blending it in with p90x, just did abb ripper x and pure cardio. My watch said I burned 850 cal. But its been acting up, I'm going to return it and get a good one that has a strap
  • I did Insanity first when I was 240lbs(worst shape of my life) I felt like throwing up every day after the works outs but I lost 18lbs and lost another 12lbs and put on some muscle back that I lost. Went from size 38 to 32, but some 32s are too tight around the thighs.

  • Thanks ladies. I'm in that last phase to loose those last 10lbs or so. The phase is the hardest. I've had to up my intake to 3000cal/100fat/200carb/300protien. I was at 2100 calories for way too long and couldn't lose any weight. I'll stick to this for a month and then start to cut back again.
  • hi, i'm eric, i'm comming from the opposite end but i work out at home doing the p90x which all my friends have trimmed up with, if i were you, i would raise my calorie, carb and protien intake to at least 3000/200/300 and lift heavy weights doing 8 to 10 reps. if you stay at home a program like p90x would work as long as…
