you want to do both of course, but depending on your goals is what depends on how much cardio and how much weights you use. I would "not" do weights more than 3 times a week and give yourself a good 24hrs of rest. i always drink a 12 hour protein shake (with water not milk) before i go to bed, it takes care of my sweet hunger and helps me not eat something bad. also helps me since i dont eat anything before my am workout.

i agree, way too little esp if your working out, sticking with the MFP is the best idea, i was eating too low and that was 2200 calories, now that i use mfp i upped it to 3000ish, i too dont get much workout at work anymore, but i work out 5 to 6 times a week for about 75 min or so.

i agree completely edorice, Insanity was stupid hard for me being out of shape. i remember the first day i did p90x plyo (after i did insanity) and i was like "this is it, this is all you got?"

the recovery week is needed trust me, I think the joints need that break, same with rest days. Don't over push yourself. Just keep pace and you'll be fine. i know its tempting though.

i used to eat right when i woke up(5am) then work out at 6am. but using my pre-workout formula, i cant eat before my workout or i will get sick. so now i have gotten used to not eating and drinking about 10oz of water with my pre-workout and then i work out and pack on the protien after. what helped me was i would drink…

i was flirting with 240lbs (ht 6'1") and didnt start working on it till feb. but now i'm 208lbs, best shape of my life. i've been more muscular in college, but was never this tone, i love seeing my veins pop out in my biceps when i work out. never had that in college:smile:

no i did it back in feb. 2010 to start my "get back into shape", lost 18lbs. I did Insanity first when I was 240lbs(worst shape of my life) I felt like throwing up every day after the works outs but I lost 18lbs and lost another 12lbs and put on some muscle back that I lost. Went from size 38 to 32, but some 32s are too tight around the thighs.

Thanks ladies. I'm in that last phase to loose those last 10lbs or so. The phase is the hardest. I've had to up my intake to 3000cal/100fat/200carb/300protien. I was at 2100 calories for way too long and couldn't lose any weight. I'll stick to this for a month and then start to cut back again.
