WW allows one to have cream in their coffee or to eat ice cream--moderation and tracking points.

Huh. Learns something new everyday. Never knew that natty meant anything other than a sharp dresser.

I'm so fortunate to have great docs looking after me. It wasn't always that way but it is now. Be thankful for your good docs, if it applies to your situation.

I've gotten a flu shot for the past 15 years. Haven't had any negative side effects.

Which religious belief? Just Christianity or ? Seems to be too many different factors to say that "religious" = unhealthy. Local economy, cultural influences, ease of food availability, religious practices where dietary restrictions, etc. are in place, and other "stuff" but I'm done thinking so hard about it. :p

Taxes on gasoline and cigarettes have not stopped any noticeable number of people from driving or smoking...so I doubt a tax on certain beverages will see any appreciable drop in the consumption of the beverages. IMHO and absolutely not based upon any research that I did.

That's a gigantic bowl for cereal. Buy small bowls. A serving of cereal will fill it nicely. Also, it depends of the cereal you are choosing. We eat Fiber One, Grape Nuts, oatmeal (the kind you measure into water and cook for a few minutes). Also add protein powder to our cereal. We can't control the overeating of junk…

We each have preferences. Do you eat any dairy products at all? Cheese, yogurt, butter, etc.? Just curious.

I prefer FairLife skim milk--microfiltered and packed with extra protein. I'm not a big milk drinker so I can't advise you about almond milk. If you like it and there isn't added sugar, etc. then I suppose it's ok. However, be aware that is high in carbs. Sorry I can't be of more help. Somebody here will be able to give…

LOL I received 2 containers of coffee (26.5 0z size) in a really large box...box was packed full of the large plastic bubble bubble wrap. I had NO clue that the box contained those 2 cans of coffee. I could not figure out what I had ordered that would come in an oversized box... LOL This was from Amazon.

It's very pricey for easily duplicated recipes and the serving sizes are HUGE. Crazy.

Why can't you eat a cheeseburger? Use high-quality lean ground beef (ground sirloin?), add a slice of good cheese->NOT american "cheese". Dress it up with condiments, choose wisely. Skip the bun. Sounds like a good dinner choice of protein, and, if you like lettuce/tomato you are getting some good veggies too. Give it a…

Folks who say eating healthy is more expensive only look at the food cost and not the long-term negative impact on health that the typical diet of processed foods, snacks, and fast foods cause. Obesity, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, hypertension--to name a few.

Congrats on your weight loss! :) Lifestyle changes are hard. All things in moderation works for me. And, some of those foods/beverages are real triggers for me so I am extra diligent about controlling those few choices-moderation is the key, for me.

Hey, you get what you pay for...quality comes at a price... o:)

The folks I know who vape don't use any nicotine in the liquid. At least that is what I was told when asking about vaping. All 4 of them are X cigarette smokers due to being able to vape. YAY for anybody who is able to quit a bad habit, regardless of the habit!

Wait...what? I've been diagnosed hypo for almost 20 years...I wasn't advised about soy. Guess I need to educate myself.

No. As a member of the older generation, I don't get why men want to remove body hair. My .02 worth--that and a couple of bucks will get you a cup of coffee. LOL

I'm in. I committed to no alcohol a couple of weeks ago-even poured the last of the wine down the sink drain. :o

Fiber, water, fiber, water. Repeat. LOL Once you are healed and able to eat a variety of foods, I recommend this daily: Fiber One cereal Benefiber A prune or two or three Hot beverage to get things moving--coffee, tea, or water Water, water, and more water "This too shall pass" (pun intended) is what my doc said. A regular…

Yup. I was a bit panicky about that until doc said my initial BMI is what is used...not a subsequent lower BMI due to weight loss. WHEW!!!!!

What I understand from this post is that you DO want the surgery. It is the fear of the surgery that is holding you back--NOT that you don't want the surgery. That jumped out at me. I may be wrong. I had become pretty dependent on my family to do things for me that I used to be able to do. The thought that I would continue…

Don't agree to a life-changing surgical procedure if you aren't 100% sure you want this. It is a MAJOR change as food is no longer you ever loyal comforting companion to see you through life. Once you have surgery, you can no longer self-medicate life's ups/downs with food. You will need to learn an entirely new set of…
