Oh yeah, forgot about the pedi-paws. My in-laws gave it to us because they had great success with their dogs, but ours went nuts. I also go those nail covers to put on cat claws (I can't remember what they were called) those were also epic fails...

Never directly from an infomercial, but I've bought items advertised 'As Seen on TV!!" Sham-Wow- total scam-wow Spray-on rubber sealant - verdict isn't out, used it once, it did a mediocre job, but husband did not follow directions, so I'm not entirely sure I can blame the product Ceramic knife and peeler - no better than…

Sausage, White Bean, and Kale Soup The recipe calls for escarole, but my grocery store doesn't have that so I substitute kale. It is me and my husband's favorite soup! http://www.lhj.com/recipe/soups/sausage-white-bean-and-escarole-soup/

As we lose weight, sometimes learning how to take compliments is one of the hardest hills to crest. I will definitely admit that well meant compliments rubbed me the wrong way from time to time. But it really comes down to simple facts. You were overweight. Now you are not. It was a hard journey. If you friends are truly…

I too am an outside runner (no access to treadmills). I was a bit embarrassed to run outside when I first started. So I went in the early morning before most people were out and about (sticking to well lit areas for the most part). My biggest tip is to focus on time rather than pace. Jog, slow jog, whatever you have to do…

It is awesome to see the difference!! Keep up the hard work, it is definitely paying off

maybe you'll be different, but I felt like my face was the very last thing to lose weight. I still had a chubby face until I had lost somewhere between 45 and 50 lbs.

It sounds to me like you are depriving yourself during the week which may be leading to over eating or unhealthy choices on the weekends. I think mentally you feel like your food intake during the week is a 'diet', which you don't want to be on during the weekend. I would suggest reading 'The Beck Diet Solution', I think…

Height: 5' 1" Age/Gender: 30 / Female Highest weight- 204 (just before I gave birth to my son) Current Weight- 140.4 lbs Current body fat - ??% Lowest weight- 113 (I was 18/19, didn't look good on me. Last time I was healthy and looked hot, I was about 135 pre-baby) Goal weight: 138ish, close to where I am now, but with a…

I'm glad I could inspire. I feel like the scale doesn't always reward us with dropping numbers which can be disappointing. But I feel like if we continue to do the things that we know are healthy, things eventually even out.

Not much more, my doctor said anywhere between 130 and 140 was appropriate for my age/height/body type. I feel pretty close to a comfortable and maintainable weight. I've set my goal for 138, but I'd still like to do some toning, which may or may not affect what the scale says.

haha, thanks! I'll take Christina Ricci as a doppelganger any day, she's gorgeous!

Thanks for all of the kind words. I must admit it was a little hard to post the 'before' pic. I'm working on not cringing every time I see pics from when I was at my heaviest. I need to embrace both who I was and who I am.

It's tough to be the odd one out. For 3 years, in my immediate group at work, I was the bigger girl, all of the others were very tiny (and also much younger than me!) The healthiest thing you can do for yourself right now is to turn a deaf ear to their chatter if it bothers you, and focus on your journey. Don't make any…

 Men give us the strangest NSVs... My husband grabbed my pouch once and when I squeeled and asked what the heck he was doing, he said he had to give it one last squeeze before it disappeared :blushing:

Thanks, I feel ten years younger! Keep working, the waist will come. I didn't think I was going to have a waist again after having a kid, and it's not as defined as it used to be, but by god it's there!

I'm curious too. That's form fitting clothing, definitely not what I was wearing when I was larger. Should I be wearing a corset and fishnets?

My two biggest tips are this: 1) start small, make a change or two at a time. Doing a complete overhaul of your lifestyle is stressful and hard to maintain 2) don't do anything you aren't willing to do for the rest of your life. For instance if you love chocolate, don't give it up, you'll be setting yourself up for…

I started with long walks a few days a week. Then I started doing the couch to 5k program. I built up to being a runner. Now I run about 4 days a week. I also try to do some kind of strength exercises 2 times a week. Haven't gone to a gym once :glasses:
