My long term goal is to hike Mt. Killemjaro in 2024. I have lots of weight to lose and training to do before then. I have a trip to Greece in April/May and I want to lose 50 pounds by then. Then summer and fall training for my hike.

The only thing that works for me is journaling all of my food and exercise and attempting to stay under my goal each day. I tried eliminating carbs, etc. and i just end up with cravings. Good luck to you.

I have been a soda addict since my teenaged years. It was my caffeine--I never could switch to diet and was drinking at least a 2L bottle each day. I quit last September 10 when I realized I could not fit into an airline seat. I resolved that day to quit and I haven't had any since. I have always been a sweet-lover but I…

Other than an occasional glass of wine, I don't drink any calories. I drink lots and lots of water. I log everything into MFP. And I agree, if I don't like it, I don't eat if even if it's "good" for me. It's a journey!

Congratulations--we are so accustomed to rewarding ourselves with food, but it's time to offer yourself a different reward. did you throw away all of your "fat" clothes? as i have been losing, i am getting rid of all of my larger sizes so i can tell myself i can not go back there. find a non-food reward! clothes, movie,…

You look wonderful!! You should be so proud of yourself. i decided when i started that i would go slow and steady. I still have 100+ to go but i am proud of the 30 i have lost. You must feel wonderful. keep it up. Remember--a pound a month is 12 pounds in a year and you will be at your goal.

You can add me! I have 100+ to lose. Support is crucial.

I was a coca cola addict for YEARS. I am vegetarian but have a hard time going to vegan because my husband is not and likes to eat out a lot. there are very few vegan choices at most restaurants. my neighbor is vegan and she makes the most awesome meals--but she cooks everyday and almost never eats out. so i guess that is the best way. good luck
