  • Found some info, thought I'd put it up. Here is a good calculation for how much water YOU need, based on your weight. According to this, based on my weight, I would need 161 ounces of water. My mother, however, based on her weight would only need 82 ounces of water per day. When I get to my goal weight, I'll need about 65…
  • Yes there is, BUT, it is most often seen when people drink WAY too much, and, don't urinate often enough also. Mainly, the lady trying to win the Wii did not take any bathroom breaks at all and died. She had been drinking water all day, but not urinating. This caused basically a toxic reaction and the kidney's to overwork.…
  • My doctor told me that eating a small bowl of cereal, a light something, even soup was better than not eating it, and getting up and binging in the middle of the night. It makes sense to me, and I often have some small something an hour before bed, usually with protein. Keeps me satisfied through the night until I have my…
  • Get over yourself. I for one have NEVER liked the taste of water. So glad you do. I am assuming you NEVER miss your water allotment each day. I mean, you must LOVE the taste of water to be so dismissive of the MANY people who do not. Whatever.
  • I am willing to try that one. Sounds delicious! Thanks.
  • Worst things said: 1. If you just tried, you would lose all the weight you want. 2. You wouldn't be fat, if you didn't like it. 3. Being disabled is no excuse for being so obese. You can walk, can't you? (Actually, no, I can't, but thanks for asking!) 4. You're fat because you want to be. 5. Anyone can lose weight,…
  • I gave up my 40 year addiction to diet coke on Christmas Eve. It has been hard. I replaced it with sugar free drink mixes, then realized they have the same sugar substitute. Now, trying to kick those and go to lime water instead. It's a hard, HARD habit to break for me. I also quit eating chocolate bars on the same night.…
  • I'll only drink flavored water of some kind. I really hate the taste of my tap water, and the filtered, etc doesn't taste any better. Next time I go shopping, I plan to get the lemon and the lime juice to flavor my water instead of the drink mixes. I want to get off the aspartame. I stopped drinking sodas about 10 days…
  • http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm Please go to the site I linked here. Enter in your correct data. Using only the information you gave us, you should be eating 2059 Calories a day (This INCLUDES your exercise calories.) IT gives extreme fat loss calories, but that is so not a good idea, but it is 1544…
  • I'm jealous. If you get a sunburn or a burn, cut off a leaf and apply the gel (juice of the leaf) to the burn. It will take the sting out of it and it will help with healing. Do whatever you can to keep that plant. My ex ruined mine. Never have gotten another one. (Need to find one...smoothies you say?)
  • http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/drwilley3.htm An article to read. Long but worth it.
  • Here is more: http://healthscience.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=549:does-muscle-weight-more-than-fat&catid=102:jeff-novicks-blog&Itemid=267](National Health Association) So, theoretically, no, muscle does not weigh more than fat. Muscle does take up less space...but it is the glycogen in muscle tissue…
  • Check out Sparkspeople.com for their exercise videos. They are quite good. I use the seated 11 minute cardio and the 20 minute resistance band ones right now. There are others also, and you could come up with your own routine. Resistance bands are well worth the expense. BodyLastics makes some of the best you will find.…
  • According to Veterans Affair, 60-80 calories for every 10 minutes. Propelling self Pushing someone else for 10 minutes is 102 calories burned
  • try weighttraining.com. They have different workout plans, some free, some pro. I'm doing free, beginner ones with resistance bands through there right now. It can get you started.
  • Hi all. Back in the States again. Hope to get more active with this group. I am thinking of each of you as you go through your daily journey, knowing we are all dealing with one pain or another that slows us down. Let's not let it stop us. We can do this.
  • Real friends build you up, they don't tear you down. They are they for the stormy, hurricane days and the sun shining days. They want the best for you in all things and celebrate your victories while sympathizing in your defeats. Anyone who cannot do this for me, as I do for them, is not a friend. I don't keep toxic people…
  • My Dr prescribed chantix. That was two years ago. Have not had one since dec 1, 2010. I made stress balls to keep my hands busy when I wanted a ciggie. I tried to stop cold turkey, patch, gum. Could not do it. If your insurance will cover it, I recommend it. If so, do the entire three months, not just one or two for better…
  • Sparks people.com has a number of short videos with coach Nicole that are chair exercises. I am using the basics of those to set up my own routine. Also, try googling chair exercises. There is yoga, Pilates, and more that can be done seated. Resistance bands seated are also good. I will be starting this in the new year.
  • Tell your dr. Youbwantva referee. You have the right to ask for a second opinion. Use it, please.
  • Quoted for truth. Moderation and movement are the way to go.
  • Just saw this. Welcome. You are welcome here for sure. Lot is going on for some of us and we have not been posting much.
  • OMG. I did too. Only I thought it was 400 children and NO crops in the field. I always felt bad for those hungry kids.
  • If you have a nutritionist, I would use their advice. Green tea, coconut oil and apple cider vinegar are all considered good for resetting metabolism. Green tea gives you more liquid and if you add juice of 1/4 lemon, that can help also, and it helps keep urinary tract proper.
  • Lee straight legs all the way.
  • Snerk. Guess I will never qualify. Pity. We could have been so good together.
  • A sexy negligee and a tankini bathing suit. Skinny jeans.
  • This is what I do. Take yesterday for example. I knew we were going to the pub, what they had there with no spices and planned for it, plus dessert. I exercised accordingly. Everyone is different. I am now eating one piece of chocolate rather than 2 candy bars every night. Three scoops of ice cream and not a pint of ice…
