If it's hot outside and you are comfortable with taking your shirt off then I say go for it. Who cares what onlookers may think, you aren't out there running for them.

Follow up with a hand written note expressing how you were pleased to have finally met them and maybe compliment them on the presentation. Other than that move on and I'd say probably no more office hugging just to be on the safe side.
