  • My answer to those people I don't know well enough....It isn't really a diet but portion control and exercise play a big part in what I am doing. That usually provides them with enough information so they realize it is not something they want to know more about...lol.
  • Turkey Taco Soup - found it on Pinterest - the one that includes black beans and refried beans. Was never a fan before surgery but love it now. Great way to get protein in and it is delicious!!
  • You have heard this in prior posts but the hardest thing for me was not drinking with my meals. I should have practiced that long before my surgery!!

  • It has been for me one of the hardest things to deal with. I am always thirsty so am drinking regularly but I always, always drank with meals before. It is a really hard habit to break, however, I learned a lesson not long after I started on pureed food. I had my water beside me and took a big gulp right after I ate.…

  • Hi Patty, I had my sleeve done on August 26, 2013 and would welcome additional friends through this process. Mine will be a little different because I had it done in Canada but I think the most important things are the same. Just can't help with those insurance questions...lol. Friend me if you would like. Debbie

I have been freezing soups, bean and lentil dishes just so they are there when I can't think…
  • I am almost 3 months out and am eating just about everything in moderation! Protein first, then veggies if there is room. Going through lots of laughing cow cheese triangles for snacks....love them! The only things I haven't been able to tolerate so far is chicken chilli and pizza!
  • LOL....I have just been thinking the same thing so am anxious to see what replies you get!! Debbie
  • Thanks for the welcome. As I think of specific questions I will certainly ask them. At this point my biggest worry is the dumping and how that will affect my everyday life. I am in the middle of a workbook called "The Weight Loss Surgery Workbook" and I am hoping that it will provide some insight for me in this journey…
  • Hello everyone....my name is Debbie and I have not had WLS yet. I am currently in a 6 month assessment/pre-op phase. Can hardly wait after hearing about so many success stories...hope to be one of them myself soon. Debbie
