Depending on what kind of man boob you have, you can get them fixed for about 2-6k. Not cheep, but not that bad if you save up for it over a few months while you diet.

There is nothing you can do to prevent loose skin. I don't want to be rude to the people that have already commented...but they don't know what they are talking about. Think about this, if a kid asked you what to do, to be a 6'8" NBA player, you would say stuff like eat right and get lots of sleep. If they don't get to be…

Elsa hit the music! I am never going back. The past is in the past. Let it go! Let it go! On a serious note, a lot of this stuff is in your head, and the stuff that is real, you need to let go or it will just eat you up and make you bitter. I have already wasted to much of my life being resentful it is time to move on.

So much negativity, it is shameful how people are acting. Your goals and lifestyle are not the same as mine so you must be bad and you should feel bad! I think every one should take a step back and chill out. Hey if it makes the op happy chances are it could make others happy too, no need to piss all over them. Hell there…

It is bs because lifting makes you "look better" if you have loose skin or not. Just because you look better doesnt mean it did anything for the skin, just the muscle under it. Some people will never have the problem, but most people that lose a large amount will and there is nothing they can do about it other then…

I am sorry but most of this is total bs. Lifting very heavy and getting to very low body fat % will not fix lose skin if you have it. I know because i have a flabby guy with my nice 6 pack(ok maybe not so nice but it is there), yeah you can get both. Now I am not saying you will end up like me or that you shouldn't get to…

So why are modern bodybuilders so much bigger now then just 30 years ago. Look little skinny Arnold, does he even lift? Modern science has come up with the method of eating 500cal a day surplus. If only Arnold and the bodybuilders would have known this back then, think how much bigger then would have been. Yeah just eat…

Yeah I started lifting when I was about 300 lbs and had a hard time pressing 20lb dumbbells. When I hit my goal of 170 I could press 110's for 5. Good thing I was to stupid to know you couldn't gain any muscle on a deficit, oh boy do I have egg on my face now that I know better. It is always better to trust unseen internet…

This is true but not the full story when it comes to building muscle. Muscle cells have more then one nucleus. When myofibrils break down they are repaired with in the nucleus. They are then added back with maybe some extra myofibrils in to the contractile units of the cell. This is called protein synthesis and it takes…

I think I have some more bad news for you...but at 240-270 with a "lot of muscle" would make most people Arnold sized or bigger. Most people that take a ton of steroids cant get that big. So you might want to change that goal too. I would just say get as much muscle as you can with a bmi of under 30. If you just do that…

Well I lost the weight and most people would call me fit now. I am one of the odd ones, being thin didn't solve all my problems, yeah I feel better but its not like the streets are paved with gold for me now that I am no longer fat. In fact I had to push away a lot of my friends to lose the weight and keep it off. Internet…

My recommendations, be very careful about internet lifting advice.

I think that is kind of unfair. Non of this is easy, lots of people have trouble with their looks(and loose skin makes it even harder). Sometimes people cling to irrational things and ideas to help them cope. It often makes people come off as odd. If we don't cope with it, old habits can creep back fast. I know I pushed…

With 7k + posts you seem to know what to do for everyone else but not yourself... Or you do know the answer but don't want to accept it. So look are you the other women you talk to? You are you, so dont worry about how much other people can eat. The scale doesn't care that you should be able to eat more or if you are…

That is a good goal but whoever told you that is wrong. I have been there and done that, from going through it first hand I can tell you it doesn't help. First off carb cycle, refeed what ever doesn't work any better then the old fashion way of eating less and doing more but the grind just gets much tougher. Also how thick…

OP found a lifestyle that works for him and lost over 100 lbs and that is what you are going to say.... Anyway on a positive note congrats.
-
Well maybe this will help you maybe it wont. In the top pic I had already lost about 40 lbs and as you can see in the bottom pic I am a total and absolute failure. I failed so bad in every way. Maybe I hit all my weight lifting goals and diet goals 5 or 6 days during the whole year and few months it took me. I would eat to…

Its funny because most of them like myself only have at most 5-6 more lbs or muscle and 7-8 lb less fat then you (AT MOST). It is not some big massive number. I think part of the problem is a lot of people on here are wanting to be helpful, giving advice, when you don't need it, because you are almost as big as you are…

When you say "other guys" who are you talking about? Like ifbb pro bodybuilders, guys at your gym, people here on mfp?
-
Yes and no. Solid bones like the humerus cant change shape unless broken. The ribcage on the other hand, is connected to the sternum by the costal cartilage and can change shape. Without any pics its hard to say but you might have lost abdominal and psoas muscle, but who knows it could be anything.
-
You are right. The only thing I have to add to it is the amount needed to both lose and gain are the same. Just the amount of cals needed to store 1lb of fat is much higher then the cals need for your body to synthesize the protein needed to gain a lb of muscle. I was just putting forth a hypothetical, I think that part…

I tried to put something it to layman's terms so you just want to call it nonsense. You don't seem to get that there is a difference in a pure energy standpoint and a biological one. Also how do you know its more difficult? You have a study? You have a biological reason that a bulk/cut is faster?
-
and those in the placebo-plus-exercise group had an increase of 1.9 kg. The percentage of body fat did not change significantly in any group The study needs a control group And for the love of all that is holy, I am saying you can gain muscle without fat (or even cutting it) because the the cal's needed are so tiny and the…

Fine just read what the nejm has to say about it. http://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJM199607043350101#t=articleResults Two weeks before day 1, the men were instructed to begin following a standardized daily diet containing 36 kcal per kilogram of body weight, 1.5 g of protein per kilogram, and 100 percent of the…

But they do because that's how the body works. Or you are you saying the wiki is wrong? See I can twist stuff around too. That is the problem no one likes to read. Maybe you should read more wikis. Then you would have a basic understanding of how how things work. If you want to look it up you can see in the 3 decade study…
-
Maybe that's what you want to read, but its not what I am saying. What I am saying is due to maths and a purely energy standpoint you need very little energy to build muscle. So you know so much how about it, so maybe you could write up the in depth instead of me. Large skeletal muscle fibers form by the fusion of…

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inflammatory_response Read the whole thing if toy want to know all the biochemical pathways and whatnot but the basics is you dont need a surplus to heal a cut in your skin and will make new skin cells to heal heal it. The same goes for healing a muscle tear and the building of new muscle. Also…
-
No that's not what I said at all Once more not what I said You cant, I said it was a hypothetical. It was to show the amount of energy to build one lb of fat was more than that of 7 lb of muscle. I spent about an hour typing up the biology of how the body builds muscle but somehow the internet didnt like it and it didnt…

I will add you but I have to say I am not on here much. I read your other thread about why you got so heavy and it is very close to mine. Women just flat out don't get it. I have already hit my weight goals about a year and a half ago, and you will have to face a whole new set of challenges that women don't have to face.…
