I don't think bumping your calories up is a bad idea at all, but I'd work on shifting some of the percentage from carbs to proteins. Also, I don't know your current diet but add some low-GI (glycemix index) carbs if you have to add carbs, or substitute some of your current carbs for lower-GI carbs (a great list is here:…

I second Dymatize - they are a great brand and typically cheaper than many others while still having some of the best tasting protein I've ever tried. I get the Fusion 7 in Chocolate for a mix of Whey (fast absorbtion) and Cassein (slow absorption) proteins.
