I sometimes scan the barcode of my food, so those should be accurate but still they're not.

I eat fast food at least once a week, but I always count the calories and macros or estimate them (if no nutritional info is provided). It's all about staying at a caloric deficit that triggers weight loss.

I doubt those 10 lb you gained are all fat. Maybe it's something else that you consumed prior?

Not at all. One can reduce their body fat and body weight by simply eating at a caloric deficit (eating below your TEE (total energy expenditure). Although I do recommend you try and do a bit more cardio as it's beneficial to your overall health.
